Update:

Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now, we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

"I can see today's destination, the town of Eibra."

"Oh, we're ahead of schedule."

"Sleip did a great job."

On the second day since leaving the town of Al-Flare, we spotted the walls of Eibra ahead, even before sunset. We were originally scheduled to arrive around evening, so we're slightly ahead of plan.

This is thanks to Sleip, just like yesterday. At first, I found its eight legs a bit odd, but now I'm so used to it that I even find it cute. Summoned beasts or not, living creatures are always adorable.

"Of course, but the scenery here is quite different from Al-Flare. The buildings seem larger too."

"That town is where rookie adventurers gather. Eibra is also a place where adventurers frequently gather. Since it's right between Al-Flare and the royal capital, it's a convenient hub."

"I see."

It seems Lange has been to Eibra before. Adventurers in this region usually start in Al-Flare and then move towards the royal capital. Since Sleip is faster than an ordinary carriage, we skipped several villages and towns along the way.

Being closer to the royal capital, Eibra has not only D-rank adventurers but also a considerable number of C-rank adventurers. As a result, the cost of living is higher than in Al-Flare, and there are many more grandly built structures.

"Tetsuya, we're heading to the Adventurers' Guild as planned."

"Yes, Ferry. Thank you."

Our first stop in Eibra is the Adventurers' Guild. I plan to supply products purchased through the Outdoor Shop ability not just in the royal capital but also here. Since they'll be handling my store's goods, a proper introduction is necessary. On the way back from the capital, we'll visit another town before returning to Al-Flare.

At the city gate, Berna and Ferry showed their Adventurers' Guild cards as identification. The gatekeepers seemed to recognize them and greeted them with astonishment and warmth. It appears that these two are famous adventurers even in this town, not just the royal capital.

"So this is the Eibra Adventurers' Guild."

"Thank you."

We made our way through the town and arrived at the Adventurers' Guild. Compared to the Al-Flare guild, this one is slightly smaller. It seems that Al-Flare has a larger number of adventurers overall.

"We'll wait in the carriage."

"Ah, sorry about that, Dolph. Please wait for a bit."

Since it would be a hassle if too many people entered the guild at once, only Berna, Ferry, Lilia, and I went inside, while the others waited in the carriage.

By the way, Sleip was attracting a lot of attention in town. I haven’t seen many people using summoning magic in Al-Flare, and it seems that very few can summon a large creature like Sleipnir.

When we spoke to the guild receptionist, we were immediately led to the guild master's office. We had already informed them of our visit in advance.

While Sleip stood out in the town, Berna and Ferry were the real stars in the guild. Almost every adventurer seemed to know them. No one directly approached them, but I could hear whispers about them everywhere.

"Nice to meet you. I am Antom, the Adventurers' Guild Master of Eibra."

Antom was a tall, slender man in his 30s or 40s with a gentle demeanor. He was quite different from Rizac, the guild master in Al-Flare. Well… Rizac's appearance is a bit, you know… unique.

That said, being a guild master requires considerable strength, so despite his lean frame, he must be highly skilled.

"Nice to meet you, Antom. My name is Tetsuya, and I run a shop called the Outdoor Shop in Al-Flare."

"Ah, yes, I’m well aware. Your store is quite famous among adventurers here. In fact, most adventurers coming from Al-Flare bring your products with them."

"Thank you very much."

Eibra is about a four-to-five-day journey by regular carriage from Al-Flare, so many adventurers must have brought my shop's items here. It’s great to know that the reputation of the Outdoor Shop is spreading to distant towns.

"We sincerely appreciate you supplying your store's products to our town as well. We've received reports from Al-Flare stating that adventurers' survival rates have improved thanks to carrying compasses and water purifiers. I’m sure our adventurers will be delighted too."

"I’m glad to hear that. I look forward to working with you."

We shook hands, discussed a few future plans, and then left the guild. Tonight, we’ll be staying in this town. Antom had already arranged accommodations for us, so after regrouping with everyone, we headed to our lodging.
