Besides the hot sandwiches, we also have instant corn soup and salad. Ideally, I’d love to have coffee with this as well. The outdoor shop reached level 4, allowing me to purchase a coffee grinder, but unfortunately, coffee isn't sold in Al-Flare...

Thanks to the outdoor shop, our food situation in town has improved a lot, but there are still plenty of seasonings and luxuries I wish we had. The capital’s market gathers goods from all over the kingdom, so I’m hoping to find things that aren’t available in Al-Flare.

The Silver Wolf, Sylph, was eating raw Black Bull meat, which Berna had taken down yesterday. Summoned beasts usually consume a large amount of mana when summoned, so they don’t need food, but they can still enjoy delicious meals.

Seeing petite Ferry playing around with Sylph is quite a heartwarming sight. By the way, Sleip was happily munching on some grass growing nearby and the fruits we had brought along.

“Tetsuya-nii, eating outside with everyone is really delicious!”

“Yeah, it’s a bit different from eating in our shop’s backyard, so it’s fun. Next time, we should do a day trip to a river outside town and grill some meat like we did yesterday. That way, Rea could join us too.”

“Yeah! Mom would definitely be happy!”

Having a barbecue by the riverside with a big group is a lot of fun. It’s a different experience compared to doing it in the shop’s backyard. If we don’t go too far from Al-Flare, there won’t be any strong monsters, and since it’s just a day trip, we won’t need to camp overnight.

Next time we do a barbecue, we should try doing it outside town. The backyard of our shop is quite small, limiting the number of participants, but by the river, we could invite a large crowd. We could even invite Rizac and Patrice from the Adventurer’s Guild, as well as Roya and the others.

It’s great that Berna and Ferry also want to join. ...Now that I think about it, since Rizac was once an A-rank adventurer, we could probably have a barbecue anywhere without any issues. Even if goblins or wild boars showed up, no one would be surprised.

Alright, once we finish breakfast, we’ll clean up and head out. If things go as planned, we should arrive at our next destination by evening.

Just like yesterday, Sleip is pulling the carriage as we make our way to the capital. We’re currently taking a lunch break on the side of the road, preparing some stick-type ramen.

Meanwhile, I’m teaching Berna, Ferry, and Lange how to use a burner. This gas burner and gas canister became available for purchase after the outdoor shop leveled up.

“It’s strange to think that something like flammable air is stored inside this metal tube...”

“...It’s gradually releasing the flammable air.”

“But apparently, it can explode. It’s convenient, but also a bit scary...”

“Even though it's this small, it can create quite a big explosion, so you have to handle it carefully.”

Gas canisters and burners are extremely convenient, but mishandling them can lead to disasters. I once saw a video in my previous world of a gas canister explosion—it instantly engulfed an entire room in flames. There's a good reason why gas canisters are considered hazardous.

That being said, as long as you use them correctly, they’re incredibly useful tools. In this world, making a fire requires gathering twigs and using flint to ignite them. Thanks to the fire starters sold at our shop, it’s a bit easier now, but gathering wood is still a necessary step.

“If you’d like one, I could give you one. What do you think?”

“No, I can use fire magic, so I’ll be fine.”

“I’ll pass too...”

“I’m good as well. I already have the fire starter you gave me, Tetsuya. That alone has made starting fires much easier than before.”

It seems no one wants a burner. I guess unknown, dangerous things can be quite scary. I also wouldn’t want any accidents happening with something I provided.

For lunch, we had instant ramen with stir-fried vegetables and smoked meat. Simple, but incredibly delicious. Eating outside with everyone definitely adds to the flavor. Everyone seemed to enjoy it a lot.
