Update:

Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now, we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:

“Alright, let’s open the store.”

“W-wow, look at all these customers…”

“...There are even more people lined up than when we first opened this shop.”

As Fia and Lilia pointed out, there were already a lot of customers when we initially opened this store. But now, an even larger crowd has gathered, forming a line and eagerly waiting for the outdoor shop to open.

“This is insane… Were there really this many customers when the shop first opened?”

“It’s my first day as an employee, but… oh no, I’m more nervous than when I take on high-rank quests…”

Even Dolph and Lange were surprised by the sheer number of customers in front of them. Still, I’d say it’s much less nerve-wracking than taking on a high-rank quest.

“It looks like the customers who came here when we first opened and those who visited afterward saw the announcement about the new product and came in droves.”

A week had passed since my outdoor shop’s abilities leveled up. During that time, I’d reviewed the new products now available through my abilities, put up notices at the Adventurers' Guild and the shop about today’s new product launch, and prepared for this day.

The maps and illustrated guides have been entrusted to Rizac and Patrice from the Adventurers' Guild. They’ve commissioned trustworthy individuals to create copies, and they are currently working on the maps.

Once the maps are copied, they’ll be handed over to other hired workers to reproduce and prepare for sale. The maps should be ready for sale next week, but the illustrated guides will still take more time.

While the Adventurers' Guild guarantees the trustworthiness of the people copying the materials, they’re keeping the origin of the maps and guides a secret, so I’ll likely never meet those individuals. However, since the maps will also be sold in my shop, they might suspect the connection.

“Before we open the shop, I’ll explain the new products to the customers. Let’s all step outside and greet them. This will also be the debut of our new uniforms.”

That’s right—everyone was now wearing identical black windbreakers. These windbreakers were newly available through my leveled-up abilities, and I decided to use them as our uniforms.

“It feels great for everyone to wear the same outfit!”

“Yeah, it really gets me pumped!”

Lange and Dolph were wearing the windbreakers over their light armor. I remember that back in my original world, uniforms were often used to foster team spirit and help transition into a work mindset.

“The logo on the back looks so cool!”

“Indeed. It was worth all the effort we put into designing it!”

Since we didn’t want customers to confuse employees with other patrons when we eventually sold the windbreakers, the employee versions had our shop’s logo embroidered on the back.

As with the shop sign, we decided to include a compass, our signature product, in the logo. The final design featured a triangle representing a tent, with a compass inside it—fitting for an outdoor shop. The shop sign was also updated with this logo.

The embroidery was done by Fia’s mother, Rea, and Dolph’s sister, Angel. They graciously agreed to help as thanks for the previous barbecue and for the chocolate bars and yokan I shared with them.

“Alright, let’s open the shop. It’s going to be a busy day, so let’s give it our all!”

“““Yeah!”””

“Thank you all for waiting! We greatly appreciate you lining up so early this morning! Before we officially open, I’d like to give a brief explanation of the new products we’ll be selling today!”

“““Oooh!”””

Having successfully launched new products a few times before, the customers seemed eager with anticipation.

“Now then, let me introduce this! It’s a thin, dried, stick-shaped noodle. We call it stick ramen! Simply place it in boiling water, cook it for just three minutes, and voilà! With nothing more than hot water, you’ll have a delicious meal ready in no time!”

“Wow, it’s that quick?”

“It’s gotten easier to boil water lately, so being able to eat immediately after is pretty convenient!”

It’s true that boiling water in the wilderness or a forest takes time. But once the water is ready, the rest is quick and easy, so I wasn’t exaggerating.

“This is perfect for busy adventurers! And it’s incredibly simple—just boil the noodles and add this magical powder, the same as our instant soup. Even adventurers who can’t cook will find it easy to prepare!”

“““Oooh!”””

The main advantage of stick ramen is its simplicity. Boil the noodles, add powdered soup, and you’re done. Even adventurers who usually can’t cook can easily make a meal with this.

“We’re offering two flavors: soy sauce and tonkotsu (pork bone). As a special thank-you for those who came out so early today, we’ve prepared some samples for you to try. Please give them a taste!”
