Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we
were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure
that this does not happen again.
Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:
Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.
"Hey, Grandpa!"
The one raising her voice at the uncooperative man, seemingly the master craftsman of the workshop, was the very person who brought us here.
"This is no time to be stubborn! It's already hard enough to secure materials, so just take the job!"
The argument between them continued, but when he said the materials weren't anything special... hmm, he might have a point. I might have collected these materials routinely through hunting and gathering, so they don’t feel all that rare to me.
That said, they’re from the Forest of Demons. Even if they don’t seem like a big deal to us, there’s a high chance they are incredibly valuable to regular folks. Some of them are even materials that my master had stashed away.
Still, if he only works with high-grade materials, maybe jobs don’t come his way very often. What does he mean by "hard to secure"? …Well, it’s not really my place to pry into someone else’s business.
"Now, now, let’s calm down. I’ll go ahead and bring out the materials, so could you take a look at them first?"
While I was lost in thought with my hand on my chin, Rio was already soothing the two of them.
Right now, I’m not in my usual combat gear, so I might just look like a fledgling adventurer to them. Surely it’s not because of my height.
Anyway, time to focus on the materials.
"The thing I want most is a bed. Other than that, I’d like a table, chairs, and also a sofa."
I began listing what I wanted while pulling out materials one after another from my extra-dimensional box.
Now that I’ve mentioned so many things, I’m starting to wonder if all of this will even fit in our camping house. Looks like I might need to expand it properly after all.
"Hmph… Hmm? …What the…!?"
At first, the craftsman was scoffing as he inspected the materials, but his expression gradually grew more intense.
"Th-this is… Red Bull leather, Silk Spider thread… Bloody Bear fur, Gel Slime, and even Moco Moco Sheep wool?!"
Moco Moco Sheep?! Is there even a monster like that…? Wait, it’s true. Appraisal shows it as 'Moco Moco Sheep Wool.' There’s actually a monster with that name? I don’t remember ever seeing it—must be something left behind by my master. Not dead, of course. It’s incredibly fluffy, and I thought it’d make a great comforter, so I brought it out, but…
"Where did you get all of this?!"
He leaned over the counter and reached out toward me, but unfortunately, his hands didn’t quite make it.
"Grandpa! Calm down a bit!"
With those words, a young boy was pushed forward toward the old man, latching onto his face in a sort of embrace.
"Mmph!"
"Ooooh, Grandpa, calm down."
The boy’s slightly babyish tone accompanied gentle pats on the back of the old man’s head. It was such a heartwarming sight.
"Ah… Ahh, my apologies, Clay. I’m calm now… And I apologize to you as well, guest."
Straightening his posture, the old man turned back toward us at the counter, reintroducing himself and his family.
"I’m Beldran, the master of this workshop. This here is my granddaughter, Sariana. And this little guy is my great-grandson, Clay."
With Beldran’s introduction, Sariana gave a polite bow, and Clay flashed a big grin. Honestly, it’s hard to believe he has a great-grandson—this world truly is amazing.
"He’s adorable!"
"Hehe."
We introduced ourselves as well, but Rio was completely taken by Clay. She was patting his head affectionately and smiling to herself.
"So, you’re asking us to make various things with this stuff, huh?"
"Yes, that’s right."
Beldran carefully examined the materials once more.
"Hmm…"
He let out a deep sigh. Was something wrong? These materials had been stored in an extra-dimensional box with time-stopping properties, so there shouldn’t be any issues like decay.
"You’re not just some ordinary kid, are you? Alright, you’ve shown me this much; I’ll take the job."
"Oh, you’re so stubborn. Thank you for preparing all these amazing materials," Sariana said, looking exasperated but still expressing gratitude.
"Ooh, squishy!"
Clay’s eyes sparkled as he poked at the Gel Slime. His small hands left imprints that slowly smoothed out as the material returned to its original shape.
This low-resilience texture—definitely mattress material.
"Haha, it’s fun, isn’t it?"
I didn’t expect Rio to be so fond of children. Watching her play with Clay was incredibly charming.
"Do you want to use wood from the Fenrir Forest ? With these materials, you could go for something else..."
"No, please use the wood from there. I do have Elder Treant wood, but the scent of the Fenrir Forest's wood is the best."
"E-Elder Treant wood, you say… What a ridiculous kid."
"There’s no rush, so please take your time and make the best items possible."
"Of course. Who do you think you’re talking to? If I can’t produce masterpieces with materials like these, I’d be better off shutting down my workshop."
Beldran’s sharp gaze and stern words carried a weight that made me trust him even more.
"I’ll handle the leather and fur products myself."
"I see. I’ll be counting on you, then."
We finalized the details with the members of the Beldran Workshop. Since we decided to go all out, we ended up adding even more requests, like pillows and other small items. Still, they assured us that everything would be ready in just two weeks.
With our spirits high, we left the Beldran Workshop behind.
