Message:

Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure that this does not happen again.

Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:

Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.

After returning from the other world, I took a short walk around Japan with Fūsuke. It seems Fūsuke can adjust his size, shrinking down to just a few centimeters, which allowed him to perch atop my head.

This way, he could hide within my hair, remaining unnoticed by others. Even if caught on a security camera, his diminutive size would make it unlikely anyone would notice him.

Interestingly, Fūsuke appeared to already possess a basic understanding of my knowledge. Cars, televisions, and other such sights didn’t surprise him much.

As for feeding a summoned beast like him, I learned that giving him a small magic stone every few months would suffice. However, even a tiny magic stone costs about a million yen, making the cost of feeding him quite steep. Considering the magic stones required for summoning as well, it’s no wonder I’ve never seen anyone else with a summoned beast.

That said, feeding only magic stones seemed a bit dull, so while shopping, I decided to check the supermarket for anything Fūsuke might enjoy.

An online search revealed that owls are carnivorous, typically eating mice, small birds, and insects. Apparently, keeping them as pets requires feeding them things like frozen rats.

Although I read that store-bought meat could also work, the blood-draining process it undergoes might lead to nutritional deficiencies.

Keeping an owl as a pet seems like a high hurdle. Cutting up frozen rats for feed is out of the question for me. Besides, storing frozen rats in the freezer at home? If Mom opened the freezer and saw that, she’d probably faint.

As I browsed the supermarket, I tried to find something that might catch Fūsuke’s interest. Though I could only vaguely sense his feelings, he seemed particularly drawn to items in the meat section.

When we returned home, I offered him raw meat I’d purchased in the other world, and he ate it happily. Yes, frozen rats are out of the question, so we’ll stick with raw meat at my place.

Now that I could receive messages even in the other world, I decided to use my Sunday to visit the seaside town I’d been planning to explore.

Since Fūsuke would stay behind to watch the house, I planned to bring him back a souvenir. Using teleportation magic, I transported myself to the location I had reached yesterday, then set off running towards the seaside town.

After stopping for lunch, I finally arrived at the seaside town of Rowan by evening.

“So, this is the sea of the other world!”

The smell of the sea breeze was the same as in Japan, but the vivid blue of the water was unlike anything I’d seen before. With no litter or pollution like back home, it was breathtakingly clear. It reminded me of the ocean around Okinawa, though I’d only ever seen it in photos.

The town was painted in coordinated shades of blue and white, perfectly complementing the sea and creating a picturesque view worthy of being called a seaside town. Off in the distance, fishing boats were scattered across the water.

What surprised me most, though, was the sheer number of people. While the total population was likely higher in the capital city of Luxeria, the bustling market near the sea was the busiest place I’d encountered in this world. It was probably filled with local fishermen, merchants, and tourists.

“Come, come, fresh fish caught just this morning! I’ll give you a great deal!”

“Hey there, young man! How about some freshly caught Maculo clams?”

“We have the widest selection in the area! Just take a quick look!”

This part of the market seemed dedicated to selling freshly caught fish and shellfish. Vibrantly colored fish and shells I’d never seen in Japan were on display, including some over two meters long.

I’d bought fish fillets plenty of times, but purchasing and preparing a whole fish this large was a different story. I decided to start with cooked seafood from one of the market stalls, then purchase whatever I liked best.

As I ventured further into the market, the mouthwatering aroma of grilled fish and shellfish filled the air. Ah, this is what a seaside market should be—nothing beats the freshly grilled seafood sold right there.

Let’s see... Every stall is bustling with customers. Many seem to have tables where you can eat on the spot, but I’d like to sit down somewhere more relaxed and enjoy a variety of dishes. All right, that popular-looking stall over there will do!

After waiting in line for a while, I was finally shown to a table.

“Thank you for waiting. This way, please!”

“Thanks.”

A kind-looking waitress guided me to a seat.

“These are our recommended menu items. Everything is made with seafood caught fresh this morning, so it’s all delicious!”

“Thank you.”

I took the menu she handed me. Let’s see... Stripe Salmon, Bal Shrimp, Ishinami Clams, and Obinos Clams. Hmm... Even with the brief descriptions, I still don’t quite get it. I’ll go with this set that includes a variety of fish and shellfish recommended by the shop.

It looks like this place mainly serves grilled dishes. It’d be great if they had sashimi too, though. Maybe I’ll ask the waitress later.

“Excuse me, I’d like to order this set, please.”

“Certainly. Please wait just a moment.”
