Instant Soup and Blue Tarps

Message:

Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure that this does not happen again.

Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:

Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.

“That delicious smell is wafting over here, too.”

“It really does smell amazing!”

With Fia-chan and Lilia’s help, we prepared all four types of soup. We demonstrated right in front of the customers how easy it was to make such delicious soup with just the instant powder and hot water.

“There are four flavors in total. While we’ve only made a small amount of each, feel free to pick one and try a little sample.”

In this world, people didn’t seem concerned about indirect contact, so we made the soups in large pots. Each customer could choose one flavor to sample. The first customer, who had already tried the consommé soup earlier, was allowed to pick another flavor to try.

“Wow, this one’s different from the last—it’s slightly sweet and has a gentle flavor! This is great!”

“This soup has eggs in it. It’s a clear soup, but it’s packed with flavor. Amazing!”

“This one has a strange color, but it’s delicious! And look, there’s something black in it too.”

The instant soups were a hit with everyone. Even the miso soup, which stood out for its unusual appearance compared to the others, was well received, though it wasn’t chosen as often.

“These instant soups are incredibly easy to prepare—just add hot water, and you’ve got yourself a flavorful, warming soup. Perfect for a quick break during your adventures!”

Many adventurers in this town often worked in the vast forest or grasslands nearby. With this product, they could enjoy a tasty soup by simply boiling some water during their lunch break. Recently, more adventurers had started using our fire starters, so making a fire wasn’t as much of a hassle anymore.

“These instant soups come in these wooden tubes, containing enough powder for ten servings. And they’re available for just three silver coins!”

“That’s cheap!”
“So, that’s three copper coins per serving!”
“That’s affordable!”

“On top of that, if you bring the empty wooden tube back, you can exchange it for a refill—ten servings—for only two silver coins. And you’re free to choose a different flavor if you’d like!”

“Whoa!”

Like our outdoor spice, the instant soup powder didn’t come in plastic packaging. Instead, the powder appeared in a container specified by the customer upon purchase. The price at the shop was one silver coin for ten servings.

The small wooden tubes used for the soup were bulk purchased from another shop in town. Normally, they cost one silver coin each, but we negotiated the price down to eight copper coins by buying in large quantities.

We’d also gotten the shop’s permission to reuse the returned tubes. From their perspective, it was free advertising for their products.

Customers could bring back the empty tubes for a refill, allowing us to wash and reuse them, making the system both economical and environmentally friendly.

“Our next product is this blue tarp. Unlike regular cloth, this tarp is waterproof! I’m sure you smart adventurers can think of countless uses for it.

“For example, if you get caught in sudden rain while in the forest, you can tie the tarp’s four corners to trees with ropes to quickly create a sheltered resting spot.

“Or, during dismantling work, you can spread it on the ground to keep the meat and materials clean. You can even wrap the dismantled materials in the tarp to transport them without staining your other belongings. Afterward, just rinse it off, and it’s good as new!”

“Whoa!”

After consulting with Lilia and Fia-chan, we brainstormed ways to showcase the tarp’s versatility. In this world, a waterproof tarp had endless potential uses.

Even in my old world, blue tarps weren’t just for ground covers—they could double as ground sheets for tents or inexpensive tarps when paired with ropes. And in the adventurer’s context, their most practical use was during dismantling tasks. They kept the ground clean and made transporting meat and materials much easier.

Without magical storage capabilities like Lange’s, adventurers had to carry their dismantled materials back to town themselves.

“This versatile blue tarp is priced at three silver coins. And if you’d like, we also have durable ropes to pair with it, also for three silver coins. Be sure to check them out!”

The blue tarps and ropes were priced at one silver coin and five copper coins each in our shop. While ropes were available at other stores, ours were extra sturdy, justifying the slightly higher price. Both products were incredibly useful, and we expected strong demand.

“Thank you all for waiting so patiently. Now, please enter the shop in an orderly manner and take your time browsing!”
