Message:

Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure that this does not happen again.

Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:

Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.

“…Alright, the teleportation worked fine. Libera, are you okay?”

“Yes! I'm feeling fine as well. But this teleportation magic is truly incredible!”

“Yeah, it really is amazing. I can understand why it's called legendary magic.”

Together with Libera, I arrived at the grassy plains where I had previously tested my skills and magic. From here, we would fly to the battlefield where the humans and demons were fighting.

Thinking about it again, teleportation magic is unbelievably convenient. I've heard it consumes a significant amount of mana, but I barely feel it. When I tested it yesterday, I only felt a bit tired after teleporting around 20 people at once.

But even that fatigue quickly disappeared, which suggests that my mana reserves and recovery rate far exceed normal limits. The power of the Demon Lord is seriously overpowered.

“Alright, from here, we'll fly.”

“Understood!”

I gently floated up into the air using wind magic. Libera, on the other hand, sprouted large dragon-like wings from her back, flapping them as she flew.

“Libera, keep the speed around this level. If you go too fast, I won't be able to keep up.”

“Yes!”

She could probably go much faster if she wanted to, but if she did, I’d definitely end up throwing up. My physical abilities have improved, but my middle-aged inner ear hasn’t been enhanced much.

“…Also, you don’t have to be so formal with me. In fact, I’d prefer it if you spoke more casually.”

We flew through the sky at a speed just slow enough to keep me from getting nauseous as we made our way toward the frontlines of the war.

As we flew, I made a suggestion to Libera.

“N-No! I couldn't possibly speak casually to the Demon Lord!”

“I'm not going to force it, but you and Debra have already seen how I normally speak. To be honest, when I'm with the two of you, I’d like to let my guard down a bit.”

When I’m around the Demon Generals or the higher-ups, I always wear the Demon Lord’s Black Flame Armor(Maou Kokuengai) and speak in a “Demon Lord” tone. But I’m just an ordinary guy on the inside, so it’s pretty exhausting. I want to be able to speak normally, at least when I’m with the two of them.

“W-Well then, may I call you Lord Jin?”

“........”

Oh, that’s how she wants to go about it. Well, I guess being called by my name is a little more relaxed.

“B-But no! I'll still call you Demon Lord!”

“No, I'd prefer if you just used my name. I know it might take some time, but you don’t need to worry so much about being formal.”

“Y-Yes!”

It looks like I’ll be dealing with the Four Demon Generals for a long time, so I want to build a friendly relationship with them.

“It looks like the battle hasn’t started yet.”

“Indeed. But I suspect it will begin very soon.”

After flying for about 30 minutes using wind magic, we arrived at the battlefield where humans and demons were in conflict. Since we had left the Demon Lord’s castle early in the morning, it seemed we arrived before the fighting began.

“…But this is terrible.”

Though the battle hadn’t started yet, the humans and demons had already divided into camps on opposite sides. In the space between the two camps, there were bodies—most likely from yesterday’s fighting—scattered everywhere.

Some had their limbs torn off, others had their intestines spilling out, and some had been pierced by spears or swords. The corpses, both human and demon, were piled up in gruesome heaps.

Luckily, the dead bodies weren’t too clearly visible from the air. If I had seen them up close, especially given my lack of experience with seeing dead bodies, I don’t think I could’ve handled it.

“It seems the demon forces are at a disadvantage…”

“Is that so?”

I couldn’t really tell which side had the upper hand.

The demons had far fewer soldiers, but they were individually stronger and skilled in magic. However, the humans made up for that with their superior equipment, strategy, and sheer numbers, evening the odds.

Even though demons could use magic, their mana wasn’t infinite. The human strategy of exhausting them with overwhelming numbers seemed to be effective.

The humans would slowly drain the demons' stamina and mana, then launch a full-scale assault once they were thoroughly weakened. On the other hand, the demons had to overpower their enemies before that happened.

“The demon forces are clearly fatigued. This is not looking good.”

“First, we should inform them that the Demon Lord has arrived.”

“Understood!”

If we landed and were mistaken for enemies by the demons, we’d be attacked. That would be the worst-case scenario.

“Isn’t that Lady Libera of the Demon Lord’s Four Generals?! Everyone, Lady Libera has come to our aid!”

“Uooooooooh!”

As soon as we landed in the demon camp, we were quickly brought to where the leaders were. It seems Libera’s reputation as one of the Four Demon Generals is bigger than I realized.

…Well, especially since Libera, dressed in revealing clothing, is a striking figure. The morale of the demon soldiers skyrocketed as soon as she appeared.

“Lady Libera, who is this person you’ve brought with you?”

A giant man with four arms and red-black skin, who appeared to be the commander of the demon forces, pointed at me. Since this was the frontlines, news of my summoning as the new Demon Lord hadn’t reached them yet.

“Rejoice, everyone! This is none other than the Demon Lord himself! This battle is already ours!”

“…………”

Unfortunately, no cheers followed…
