Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we
were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure
that this does not happen again.
Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:
Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.
Thank you so much, everyone!
“No way... this... is taming magic…”
Shannon’s voice pulled me back to reality just as I was trying to escape into denial.
Taming?
Now that she mentioned it, Ivy did say that the griffon would listen to her now...
Wait, hold on.
Does this mean... that Ivy actually tamed the griffon?
Has Ivy officially become a tamer of familiars?
“Shannon, Ivy said the griffon will listen to her from now on…”
“...Bruno, could you, um, pinch my cheek really hard?”
Just like me, Shannon didn’t seem to know if this was real or just a dream. So, as she asked, I pulled her cheek hard.
“Ouch... it’s not a dream. This is just… is there anything that’s not possible anymore?”
“Ahaha, yeah, even I was a little shocked this time… I think I can hear the griffon’s voice now…”
“What?”
Shannon’s mouth dropped open in shock.
But before I could answer, I heard a low buzzing sound, like wings beating. A familiar indigo light appeared, but this time, it seemed strangely bright.
The reason was simple.
The light was extending from my body toward the griffon.
...Actually, I haven’t told anyone yet, but I can use Ivy’s powers. I don’t have any magical talent myself, so I can’t do anything without her help, and since I haven’t needed to show it, I’ve kept it a secret.
But why did this light appear out of nowhere, without me even willing it?
And isn’t it just like the light Ivy used earlier—?
“Kruuh.”
“Ah, the connection has been made. I’m now officially Ivy’s familiar as well as Bruno’s. Pleased to meet you.”
“Huh?”
“Mi!”(Make sure you put him to good use)
“That’s harsh, Boss Ivy!”
“Mi-mi-mii!”(Stop calling me ‘Boss’! Call me Lady Ivy!)
Ugh, this is too much information for me to process.
It was one thing when I could only understand Ivy, but now I can also hear the griffon’s voice, and it’s doubled the amount of conversation to keep up with.
I can hear everything they’re saying, even their arguments.
And somehow, compared to before, it feels like the information is coming across even more clearly.
That same light I saw earlier... the taming magic that extended from my body... it must be related, right?
Does that mean I somehow tamed the griffon as well?
...Wait, hang on.
Ivy’s species and rank are still unknown, so no one outside the adventurers' guild has said much about her. But taming a griffon—the well-known ruler of the skies—that’s bound to cause some issues, isn’t it?
This is bad.
I don’t know exactly why, but I have a strong sense that this isn’t going to go well.
Half in tears, I clung to Shannon’s arm as she stood there in shock.
“What should I do... I accidentally tamed a griffon. Please help…”
“...That’s the first time anyone’s ever asked me something like that.”
And so, our plan against the griffon concluded with our supposed enemy joining our ranks.
But it wasn’t worth celebrating. Not at all.
Damn it! Now there’s just one more problem to deal with!
