First, I broke the metal chains restraining the girl with two horns growing from her head, who was tied to the middle cross. With a little force, the metal chains snapped easily.

She seemed to understand that her life had been saved by this mysterious intruder, but her expression was still filled with confusion. That’s only natural, of course.

In the same way, I went around freeing the other demon children one by one. The crowd was buzzing, and other knights tried to surround us, but after I defeated Augas, they didn’t dare to make a move.

This little girl was the youngest, the one who had cried out for help to her unreachable parents. With cat-like ears poking from her head, aside from that, she looked like a normal human girl.

This boy had been glaring at Augas and the knights ever since the execution began.

For these kids, Augas and the knights are their enemies, the ones responsible for everything. I understand his desire for revenge.

“I get how you feel, but this is war. Right now, we need to get out of here.”

“No way, I’m not running! Even if it costs me my life, I’m gonna take down as many humans as I can!”

If I weren’t holding him back, he would’ve charged straight at the immobilized knights, thanks to my Demon King’s intimidation skill.

I forcibly grabbed the boy under my right arm as he struggled.

Augas, still unable to move from the paralysis spell, raised his voice while leaning on one of his subordinates. It seems he realized that further pursuit would be pointless after our earlier clash. Augas is not only strong but also a calm and level-headed commander. No wonder his men respect him.

We had arrived at the grassy plain where I had first tested out magic and skills after fleeing the Demon King’s castle.

The space magic skill, teleportation. It allows me to instantly travel to a place I’ve been to before. This was my first time teleporting with others, but it seems to have worked without any problems.

Just like with other spells, I didn’t feel much of a drain on my magical energy. Typically, using magic depletes mana, but I couldn’t even see a stat for mana in my status.

“This is a plain, far away from the town. If you tried walking back, it’d take several days.”

It seems teleportation magic is an exceptionally advanced skill.

In isekai stories, teleportation magic is pretty common, but when you think about it, being able to travel long distances in an instant is a pretty crazy power.
