Hey guys,

Let's see what you've got.

The moment the group of ogres saw us, they let out roars and raised their massive iron chunk swords. With heavy footsteps, they began to charge.

As Ilga returned to the front lines and passed by Team Four, Seneca shouted out.

“Three shield-bearers from Team Two, move to the front!”

Three members of Team Two, excluding Bernald and Fix, charged head-on toward the approaching ogres with their large shields held in both hands.

Void grimaced.

“Oh, come on…”

The result was obvious.

The three ogres advanced in a line and swung their iron chunk swords mercilessly at the three shield-bearers who were also running in a line.

Sparks flew and a tremendous crashing sound echoed. The three shield-bearers were sent flying far back in a dramatic fashion.

As if shields could stop that. The difference in strength and weight was simply too great.

“Idiots! Told you so!”

Void started to leap forward, but Oujin placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Wait, Void.”

“Huh?”

The three who were blown back all the way to around Team Four’s formation, however, landed on their feet and skidded to a stop, digging into the ground. Their large shields were dented, but no one had fallen.

They had softened the blow.

It was a maneuver Oujin had drilled into them at the swordsmanship club—when you can't completely block an attack, it's better to jump back and let the force dissipate rather than trying to endure it head-on.

Even before the three had landed, Seneca was already shouting.

“Team One!”

As the three ogres at the front finished swinging their iron chunk swords, the four members of Team One, with Ilga at the center, rushed in from behind and simultaneously thrust their blades.

“Oooooh!”
“Go for it!”
“Uoooooh!”
“Haaah!”

The sound of flesh being pierced rang out!

Ilga’s sword, Monica’s sword—both sank into the ogres’ throats and left chests. Bright red blood sprayed forth.

“Don’t let your guard down! More are coming!”

Ilga, Monica, and the others quickly pulled out their swords and scattered to the sides to evade the next wave of iron chunk sword swings. As the swords smashed into the dungeon floor, Bernald's spear came down and pierced the forehead of the next ogre.

“Hup!”

The spearhead crushed the skull, destroying the brain, and even burst out through the back. True to his build, Bernald possessed ogre-level brute strength.

With a heavy thud, the three ogres collapsed to the ground. The fourth ogre, its stomach kicked and spear yanked out by Bernald, fell flat on its back.

Void whistled.

“Ha, not bad at all.”

“Naturally. If they couldn’t manage at least that much, all our teaching would have been pointless.”

But Oujin wore a slightly sour expression. He placed a hand to his mouth and muttered to himself.

“For an impromptu group, their coordination is excellent. The issue is still individual ability. Plenty of challenges ahead.”

“But, Ryoka-chan, at least for today, they might survive, right? Thanks to you!”

Riona’s words made Oujin blink in surprise.

“Hm? Well… maybe so.”

“For today, that’s enough!”

“...Yeah. You’re right.”

“Let’s praise them and help them grow!”

“Haha, I’ll do that.”

This time, he nodded—looking satisfied.

It's thanks to Riona’s absurdly positive attitude.

But truly, even to my eyes, it wasn't bad. Just like the intelligence division, the swordsmanship club was also functioning well.

In swordsmanship, individual skill doesn’t grow overnight. That’s why they have to support each other with coordinated group movement. And if they survive today, they’ll gain a day’s worth of experience and grow stronger individually as well.

I looked up at Oujin.

Impressive. After all, I, Blythe, taught the same thing—crawl in the dirt, drink the mud, but survive.

Wait, does that mean my teaching style was worse? Huh?

The remaining ogres, who had been charging with great force, were clearly confused.

Why were their powerful comrades being slain by the weak, the small, the insignificant creatures they once saw only as food?

That must be what they were thinking.

But their reason for hesitation didn’t matter. What mattered was that they paused their thinking, even if just for a moment.

And Seneca, as expected, capitalized on the momentum and shouted:

“Now! Teams One, Two, and Four—launch a wave attack!”

The all-out assault began.

At the front, Ilga ducked under a swinging iron chunk sword and, as he passed by, sliced into the ogre’s flank.

“Hah! How’s that! This is the sword of a man destined to be a true knight!”

It wasn’t a fatal wound. But the ogre, enraged, turned around—only to be struck from behind in the neck by Monica’s slash, causing it to collapse to its knees.

While the ogre was distracted, Seneca dashed past and brushed her blade across its feet.

“Where are you looking!?”

Off balance, the ogre was then struck in its vital spots by other students as they, too, rushed past.

No one stopped. No one stood still. And because of that, the ogres couldn’t keep track of them as they split in front and behind.

“Ooooh!”
“Slash, slash, slash!”

As the ogre turned its attention to the students rushing past behind it, Bernald’s spear pierced its heart from the rear.

At that point, it became completely one-sided. With just twelve students—excluding Team Five and Team Three—the entire group of ogres was annihilated.
