Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with
Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.
As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:
“Hee~ So tents this big exist in your world, Mr. Tetsuya?”
“Still, it’s huge. With this much space, I feel like I’ll be able to sleep comfortably.”
As the large tent was spread out, Dolph and Mr. Lange were both surprised by its size.
“Yeah. In my world, there aren’t monsters or bandits, so people can usually spend the night safely. That’s why there are a lot of tents designed for comfort.”
This large tent became available for purchase after the Outdoor Shop skill leveled up. I bought two—one for the women and one for the men. Of course, since the tent is so big, setting it up is a bit of a hassle, but in exchange, you get a lot of space.
Tents that can accommodate large groups generally come in dome-shaped, single-pole, and two-room types. A dome tent is basically a scaled-up version of the typical two- to three-person tent.
The single-pole tent, as the name implies, is a simple structure using one central pole in a triangular shape, but the larger versions are pretty massive. Since there’s only one pole, it’s very easy to set up and take down.
The two-room tent, which I bought this time, is shaped like a large fishcake loaf. It takes a bit more work to set up, but the ceiling is high enough to stand up inside, which is a big plus.
As the name implies, it has a large vestibule in addition to the sleeping area. Even if it rains, you can stay in the vestibule without needing to set up a tarp.
“It’s my first time actually using one too, but it really is big. Sorry, but can I ask everyone to help out a bit?”
“Sure, leave it to me.”
“Let’s do our best.”
Looks like Lilia and Miss Ferry are going to help too. Splitting into cooking and setup teams would be fine too, but we’ve got time today, so let’s just all pitch in and get the tent up first. Things like this are more fun when done together.
“Alright, all done. This one is for the women, and that one is for the men.”
We managed to complete the setup of both tents without any issues. They’re so large that putting them together was a bit of a chore. Even though they pack down small, their original size takes up a lot of space, and they’re quite heavy.
If it weren’t for Miss Ferry’s storage magic, carrying them would be a real pain. And we’ve never really had the chance to use such a large tent before, so this feels pretty refreshing.
The price varies depending on the materials, but of course, the larger the tent, the more it costs—exponentially so. You wouldn’t need something like this if you’re camping alone, but man, tents with high ceilings are really the best.
“It’s so spacious. I can’t believe it folds down that small. It’s amazing.”
“It’s like storage magic.”
“That’s because the frame folds up really small. And the fabric is durable, yet made from a thin material.”
Even large tents these days are fairly compact and lightweight when stored. The collapsible frames help a lot, and the materials—like polyester or nylon—are both light and durable.
The tent Mr. Gregor is prototyping for us is made from materials found in this world, so the fabric is a bit thicker. Because of that, it ends up a little bulkier than the one I bought from the Outdoor Shop, but that can’t be helped. I think it’ll still be a while before the large tent model is ready for release.
“Now we can all sleep together!”
“Yeah, with this much space, even five people could sleep comfortably.”
Fia and Lilia went into the tent to check the space. Fia is fine, of course, but even Lilia, who’s tall for a woman, can enter without hitting her head on the ceiling. So we should be good.
The men’s tent only has three people, so we’ve definitely got more than enough room.
Wait, you’re wondering why we needed such a big tent if it’s just three guys? Well, I mean… I’ve always wanted to try camping in a large tent at least once!
Even when I went camping with friends instead of solo, everyone usually brought their own tent, so I’ve never had the experience of sleeping together in a big group tent.
And family-size tents are expensive, so I never had the chance to use one before. I’ve been looking forward to this.
“Okay then, I’m going to take my time preparing dinner, so everyone else just relax.”
“Mr. Tetsuya, I’ll help too.”
“Big brother Tetsuya, Fia will help too!”
“Thanks, Angel and Fia. Alright, I’ll have you two help me a little then.”
The only ones in this group who can cook are Angel and Fia, who do it regularly. Lilia, Dolph, and Mr. Lange are adventurers, so they can manage simple dishes too. Miss Berna and Miss Ferry… well, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
“Oh, that reminds me—everyone, try this out while you’re relaxing. I might start selling it as a product, so I’d love to hear what you think later.”
I purchased some items from the Outdoor Shop. As expected, their size works perfectly with Miss Ferry and Mr. Lange’s storage magic.
Thanks to the level-up of the Outdoor Shop skill, I was able to buy new items: a badminton set and a flying disc.
