Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with
Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.
As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:
“Oh, this is an interesting taste!”
“Yeah, it's a flavor I've never tasted before.”
Mr. Gregor and Mr. Patrice both happily devour their ice cream.
Ideally, it would have been great if we had vanilla beans, but of course, vanilla beans don't exist in this world. Well, the scent might be a little lacking, but the taste is still a proper ice cream.
“Tetsuya, I want a lot of this candy!”
“Yeah, I figured you'd say that. I bought plenty of ingredients, so just leave it to Mr. Lange.”
“Lange, please!”
“Mr. Lange, please!”
“Alright, alright, leave it to me.”
Mr. Lange looks a little pleased as she is asked by Ms. Ferry and Ms. Berna.
Actually, making this ice cream was quite a challenge. Setting aside the ingredients, it seems that when using ice magic to chill the ice cream, the temperature is quite sensitive. If you cool it too much, it doesn't taste good and becomes too crunchy.
It seems that when Mr. Lange usually uses ice magic, she doesn’t worry about the temperature, but when mixing the ingredients, depending on how much air she incorporates, the texture is completely different.
After experimenting with Mr. Lange after closing hours, we were finally able to come up with something we were satisfied with. We also tried different monster milks to see which would work best.
“I envy people who have storage magic at times like this.”
“Yeah. It would be great to be able to eat ice cream like this on a hot day, right?”
Mr. Rizac and Mr. Patrice are looking enviously at Ms. Ferry and Mr. Lange, who can use both ice magic and storage magic.
Storage magic that stops time is really too convenient. I know it's selfish of me to say this, but I can't help feeling envious...
Although I have a portable refrigerator, making ice and adding salt to make ice cream without Mr. Lange is quite a hassle. Compared to that, ice magic requires practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy because you don’t need anything else. Magic is truly a cheat, isn't it?
“Yeah, this black one is the best.”
“Oh, I think the red one tastes better.”
“I like the white one!”
Mr. Braimon, Ms. Madlet, and Albera-chan are discussing their preferred flavors, but everyone's opinions are different.
There's always a debate over preferences for ice cream, so this can’t be helped. Personally, I like the cookies and cream one. It's a bit of a richer treat, but it's delicious.
...I think making a mushroom and bamboo shoot flavored dessert in this world would be dangerous in many ways, so I’ll pass on that idea.

“Hahh, I slept well. Oh, it’s already this late?”
After drinking quite a bit at yesterday's barbecue, when I woke up, it was already almost noon. It seems like telling Lilia that I’d wake up around noon was the right call.
We’ll be heading to the royal capital tomorrow, so today I need to get everything ready.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning, Tetsuya.”
“Good morning, Mr. Tetsuya.”
When I opened the door to my room and went to the living room, not only Lilia but also Ms. Ferry and Ms. Berna were there.
“Good morning, everyone, you're early.”
“...Well, I think it's pretty clear that you’re the one who’s late, Tetsuya.”
Lilia is right. And, surprisingly, Ms. Berna looks perfectly fine despite drinking more than I did yesterday. It seems that everyone except me is strong with alcohol.
“Well, when it’s a long holiday, you can’t help but relax a bit. Ms. Berna and Ms. Ferry, I’m counting on you today.”
“We had a lot of fun yesterday, so this is no trouble at all.”
“Yesterday was really fun, and the food that came out was delicious. This is nothing compared to breakfast.”
Since we're leaving for the royal capital tomorrow, we plan to go to the market to buy ingredients for everyone, but since just Lilia and I can’t carry everything, we’ll ask Ms. Ferry and Ms. Berna, who can use storage magic, to help us.
“...Since Mr. Lange isn’t here, it looks like it will be difficult. Well, let's go the four of us. We can grab something to eat at one of the street stalls for lunch.”
Originally, Mr. Lange, who can use storage magic, was supposed to join us today as well. Mr. Lange was really looking forward to shopping at the market with Ms. Berna and Ms. Ferry, but since he hasn’t shown up by this time, it seems like he’s still recovering.
It wasn’t because he passed out from the alcohol; it was because he overused his magic.
The ice cream we served at yesterday’s barbecue became a big hit, and since we had run out of the prepared ice cream, we had Mr. Lange make some more on the spot using his ice magic.
Making ice cream using ice magic requires a lot of careful temperature control and magic power, so by the time the barbecue ended, the usually energetic Mr. Lange was exhausted.
Since we'll be together for the foreseeable future once we go to the royal capital, I hope he’ll feel better and be able to meet Guild Master Ms. Ruhail there.

"...I think making a mushroom and bamboo shoot flavored dessert in this world would be dangerous in many ways, so I’ll pass on that idea." I think this one refers to, following the cookie snack context, the decades-long 'war' between two of Meiji's chocolate biscuit snacks: Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato, or oftenly mentioned as the Kinoko-Takenoko War. The 'war' meme has been running from 1980s and famous enough in popular trends to the point of having its own wikipedia page.
