Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with
Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.
As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:
“Eh, seriously!? The shop’s going to be closed for a whole month starting tomorrow?”
“Whoa, I didn’t know that!”
“I’m terribly sorry. The current store has gotten a bit cramped, so we’re planning to move to a new, larger location.”
The usual pair of regular adventurers who always visit the shop were shocked to hear that it would be closed for a month starting tomorrow.
“Oh, that’s great news! Well, this place is popular, so I guess it’s only natural.”
“Congratulations, Mr. Tetsuya. We’ll definitely keep coming to the new store too.”
“Thank you very much.”
“Still, starting tomorrow, huh… I took last week off, so I had no idea.”
The one-month closure had been announced since last week both in the shop and at the Adventurer’s Guild, but it seems these two missed it because they were off last week.
Last week, Berna and Ferry officially accepted the escort request to the royal capital, and we’re planning to depart three days from now. By the way, whether we’ll give them more youkan and chocolate bars than last time is still undecided.
“Yes. That’s why, this week, we’ve doubled the usual limit on product purchases. Some items will also be available at the Adventurer’s Guild, so please make use of that too.”
“Oh, seriously!? Yeah, if the shop’s going to be closed for a month, I’ve got to stock up!”
“Crap, how much outdoor spice do I have left? I’ve got to grab some more instant soup and chocolate bars too.”
“And I want some retort curry too. We can’t just sit around—let’s head home, check what we need, and come back!”
“Yeah, let’s move quick! Mr. Tetsuya, we’ll be back soon!”
“Yes, thank you very much.”
The two regular adventurers hurried out of the shop. Since the shop will be closed for the next month, it makes sense they need to stock up. There are a lot of customers like that today, so the place is far busier than usual.
Incidentally, for the duration of the shop’s closure, we’ve made sure to supply plenty of compasses—which increase adventurers’ survival rates—and water purifiers to the Adventurer’s Guild, so that should be fine.
“““Thank you very much!”””
Bang
Thus, today’s operations at the outdoor shop came to a close. Starting tomorrow, the shop will be closed for a full month.
“Whew, I’m totally exhausted today…”
“Today was so tiring, big brother Lange!”
“Great work, everyone. Let’s take a little break before we start closing up. There were so many last-minute customers, I’m really worn out today.”
“It might have been the busiest day since this shop first opened. Even when we launched new products and had lots of customers, I think today topped that.”
“Yeah, Lilia. I think this was the busiest it’s ever been. I’m really glad Lange was here to help too.”
Usually, after closing the shop, we immediately do the closing and prep work for the next day, then take a break. But today, we were so worn out we decided to rest in the living space on the second floor first.
Since the shop will be closed starting tomorrow, there’s no need to prep for opening. Still, I feel like we had the most customers ever today.
“A lot of customers rushed in to stock up. There were more people than usual, and they were buying more, so it was really hectic.”
“Yeah, just like Angel said. Even though we announced the closure in advance, today—the final day—was crazy busy.”
“Adventurers tend to put things off a lot. I’m sure many of them thought they could just come on the last day.”
Just as Dolph said, it seems adventurers are pretty loose with time.
“Anyway, the shop’s going to be closed for a while now. Everyone, great work.”
With that, we wrapped up the day. Tomorrow and the next day, we’ll take it easy and then head for the royal capital. By the time we return to Al-Flare, the new store should be finished.
It’ll probably be really busy once the new store opens, so for now, I’ll enjoy this bit of free time. We once took a long break before, but this is the first time the shop will be closed for an entire month. It’s a good chance to stretch out and relax.
By the way, all employees will still get their salaries during the closure. Naturally, once we move to the new store, their pay will also increase. We run a very white (ethical) shop, after all.
