Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with

After giving it some thought, I consulted with the employees, as well as Mr. Rizac and Mr. Patrice, and decided that from now on, I would have some of the camping gear made by Mr. Gregor and the others from this world.
There are several reasons for this, but the biggest one is procurement. At the current scale of the shop, it might be plausible to say we're sourcing goods using Mr. Lange's storage magic, but if the store expands, that excuse becomes a bit of a stretch to rely on just one person’s storage magic to handle everything.
So I thought, why not make some of the items here in this world using locally sourced materials? With that in mind, I chose camping gear that is particularly large and seems possible to produce here—tents, tables, and chairs, for example.
“I think the metal parts are probably doable, but the fabric part here is the biggest challenge.”
Another reason is the material used in items like tents. In my original world, general tents are made of synthetic fibers such as polyester or nylon, and like plastic, they don’t decompose naturally.
It’s well-known that plastic waste from my world can remain in oceans or mountains for hundreds of years. Maybe it’s not something I need to be overly concerned about here, but it’s always better not to pollute nature if I can help it.
“Hmm… these poles have an interesting mechanism. I see, they’re made from a stretchable material, and by pulling the metal parts, they can be fitted together. Indeed, this seems replicable.”
Mr. Gregor inspected the poles of the tent we had set up. As expected, the tent from my world really piqued the curiosity of a craftsman like him.
“I’m not sure what this fabric is made from. Oh, but it’s both durable and lightweight—remarkable! Certainly, with something like this, the supporting poles don’t need to be made from extremely sturdy metal for the tent to stand. Hmm, the inner layer is made of breathable, light fabric, while the outer layer is made of durable fabric.”
“In my world, when it’s hot, people sometimes just use the inner tent by itself. And by covering it with the outer flysheet, it’s possible to stay warm during colder seasons. That said, I think for now, it’s fine to start by making just the outer layer.”
In this world, there seems to be quite a difference in temperature depending on the region. This area is relatively warm, so a tent made only with the flysheet should be sufficient. I’ve heard that old tents used to be single-layered to begin with.
If we can manage to create this kind of tent, then when there’s extra capacity, it might be worth trying to make a double-layered tent that includes the lightweight inner tent as well.
“It’s light, durable, and waterproof, so it’s also great for rain. It would be a huge help if we could find a material close to this.”
This world also has waterproof materials, so I believe it should be possible to create a fabric that’s close to the synthetic fibers of my world using environmentally friendly materials. After all, the storage packs Mr. Gregor made, which are used for things like yokan and retort curry, are made from local materials too.
If we can manage this well, we could even start making and selling the blue tarps our store currently sells using this material. Right now, we buy back any damaged tarps at the store, but if we can make them with eco-friendly materials, that’s definitely the route I want to take.
“Hmm… perhaps if I process the material from the storage packs, I might be able to create something quite close to this.”
“Oh, really!?”
Those storage packs don’t leak even when filled with retort curry, meaning they’re completely waterproof and fairly durable. And since Mr. Gregor has done a lot of processing to create those packs, he must be quite familiar with how to work the material.
“It’s also possible to source materials through the Adventurer’s Guild. These tools will be useful to beginner adventurers.”
“Yes. The Adventurer’s Guild will fully support you, so please let us know if you need any materials or anything else.”
This is the reason I brought Mr. Rizac and Mr. Patrice with me today. When it comes to securing necessary materials or manpower, we can rely on the Adventurer’s Guild for support.
These pieces of camping gear will be helpful for adventurers. Naturally, the gear that adventurers carry should be light and durable.
When I consulted Mr. Rizac and Mr. Patrice about this, they both readily agreed to lend their support.
“Oh, if the Adventurer’s Guild is on board, that’ll be a great help. These tables and chairs have an interesting structure, too. The technology from another world is incredibly fascinating. I’ll gladly accept this commission.”
“Thank you very much!”
Alright! It looks like I’ll be able to count on Mr. Gregor’s help, which is a huge relief. I’ve known him for a long time since I came to this world, and I felt confident that telling him my secret wouldn’t be a problem. I really hope we can successfully recreate the tent, table, and chairs.
