Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with
Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

Dry shampoo is a type of camping gear that helps maintain cleanliness by absorbing sebum when applied to the scalp, reducing stickiness and odors. Although it’s sold not only at outdoor shops but also at pharmacies, calling it "camping gear" might be a bit of a stretch.
The greatest benefit of this dry shampoo is that it allows you to freshen your hair without using water. Adventurers spend a lot of time outdoors and move around a lot during battles, so they sweat heavily. Even in the beginner town Al-Flare, where requests that can’t be completed in a day are rare, there are still some that require staying out overnight.
In such cases, having dry shampoo means you can keep your hair clean even in places without access to water. I noticed this again when I went to the royal capital the other day—securing a water source in this world is no easy task.
"Additionally, it has a moisturizing effect, so it can leave dry hair feeling soft. It also has excellent deodorizing properties and a refreshing scent, so you can even use it when meeting someone of the opposite sex."
"Wow, that’s amazing! I want one!"
"What’s that? That’s so convenient! I hate how long hair gets all sticky!"
"Heh~ there’s something that useful, huh."
"Hair odor, huh... doesn’t really bother me that much. But sometimes, when my hair gets super sticky and uncomfortable, this might actually be nice."
Just as I expected, the reactions seem to differ between men and women. This product leans more toward being something for women. Guys don’t seem to care much about smell and such. Still, even for guys, sticky hair is definitely uncomfortable. If at least one gets sold to each party, I’d call that a success.
Alternatively, this product might be more suited for mid-tier and above adventurers who take on requests lasting several days or merchants who travel long distances. That aside, women could use this as part of their daily routine.
In my original world, if it was just for a day or two of camping, it was easy to tough it out, so while I knew about dry shampoo, I never bought any. But in this world, I’m betting there's a decent demand.
Even I once went nearly a week without being able to take a shower while traveling. I didn’t notice my own smell much, but I vividly remember how disgustingly sticky my hair got. People in this world probably go just as long without washing their hair, so being able to get rid of that stickiness would be a huge help.
"Here you go, Tetsuya big brother!"
"Thanks, Fia-chan. The way to use it is very simple—just rub the powder into your hair and scalp like this."
I took a little of the powder from the wooden tube that Fia-chan handed me, and demonstrated how to use it on my own hair for the customers to see.
There are various types of dry shampoo—spray, gel, sheets, and powder like this one. Personally, I thought the spray type seemed the easiest to use, but the spray container itself poses various problems, so I decided to sell the powder version in our shop.
"Everyone who lined up from this morning will get a sample to try later, so please give it a go."
As with all our products, it’s always best to experience it firsthand rather than just explaining it with words. We had about 30 to 40 people come this morning, so I’ll let them try it out.
"Heh~ I’m looking forward to it."
"Yes, if it works well, I’ll definitely buy one."
We’ll see the real customer reactions after they’ve tried it themselves.
In addition to the dry shampoo, we’re also launching a set of cookers today. Similar items are already being sold elsewhere, but ours are high-quality and lightweight, with stackable designs that make them easy to carry, which should be very handy for adventurers.
To avoid competition with other shops, the price is set a bit high.
As a side note, "cooker" and "kocheru" refer to the same thing—just different terms in English and German. I didn’t know that before and thought they were completely different items for the longest time.
"We’ll be opening the shop now, so please feel free to come in at your leisure."
"““Thank you very much!””"
The day’s business ended safely, and we all saw off the last customer together.
"Whew~ It’s always busy when we’re launching a new product."
"Yeah. But still, it’s better than when we sell food products. Last time, when we sold curry and yokan, we had tons of customers lining up from early morning."
Just like Lange and Dolph said, the first day of a new product release is always hectic. Especially when selling food products, the customer turnout is massive. Looks like the brand power of our shop has spread quite a bit now.
"Even so, this dry shampoo is really amazing. It smells so nice, I think it could even be used as a cosmetic."
"Female adventurers must really appreciate it. I personally don’t mind that much, but female adventurers who team up with men tend to care a lot about things like that."
"True, most of the people who bought it were women."
Just as Angel and Lilia said, this turned out to be a very helpful piece of camping gear for women in this world. As I predicted, most of the customers who bought it were women.
I’d never used it before myself, but it smells quite nice, so maybe even non-adventurer women would want to buy it.
