Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now,
we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with
Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

“…Even if I inherit Master’s power, it only increases the possibility of repairing the door, not guarantees it. You could just live in your original world while keeping that power. Is there really a reason to go so far just to reconnect this world with the other?”
“If the chance of repairing the door to the other world increases, then that’s reason enough. Besides, I inherited the Great Mage’s power, and I’ve already been helped more than enough by it.”
To begin with, the reason I ended up in this world was because I had been bullied and was about to end my life. But with this power, I was able to stop the bullying and even help others. Compared to before I was bullied, I’ve met so many people.
“Even if I lose all the power I inherited from the Great Mage, I still want to travel between this world and the other!”
The door connecting to another world had, quite literally, expanded my world. It showed me sights I had never seen, flavors I had never tasted, and, most importantly, introduced me to countless precious people. I refuse to let go of this connection!
“…If that is what you truly want, Masayoshi, then I won’t stop you.”
“If I can travel freely between this world and mine again, I can just learn magic from scratch, right? At that time, I’d appreciate it if you could take me in as your apprentice, Ande.”
When I inherited the Great Mage’s power, I was able to use magic in my world, where I previously couldn’t. If I start learning from the beginning, there’s a good chance I’ll be able to use magic again.
“…Ku ku ku, my apprentice, you say? Masayoshi, becoming my disciple? Hahaha, that could be amusing!”
“At the very least, I could show you around this world as thanks.”
“Ah, that would be enough. But, you see, I’ve never taken a disciple before, so I wouldn’t even know how to teach.”
“At the very least, you seem like a better teacher than the Great Mage. …You’d probably learn from his bad examples too.”
“…Ku ku ku, indeed. I must make sure not to pick up my foolish master’s bad habits.”
“Yeah, that would be a great help.”
I’ve gotten close enough to Ande to exchange such banter. I feel bad leaving everything in Ande’s hands, but I trust that he will be able to repair the door to the other world.
Now that I have Ande’s approval to use the inheritance magic, I begin my preparations.
I had already declared to Ande that I was fine with losing the Great Mage’s power, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t prepare for the possibility that the door won’t connect again. Specifically, I plan to secure money and gather magic tools that could be useful in my world.
It feels a little sneaky, but having money and means to protect myself is crucial. I store jewels, gold, and other items that would be easy to convert into cash in my world inside my room.
Since I don’t know what will happen to the items stored in my inventory magic after using inheritance magic, I take out everything I can. Items originally from the Great Mage’s house and space-efficient materials from dragons are left in the Great Mage’s house.
Additionally, weapons I "borrowed" from terrorists and scammer groups, such as guns and swords, are also left there. …If I kept these at home, I’d be arrested immediately for violating firearm laws.
“So… you’re leaving this country for a while?”
“Yes. That’s why, Gildart, I’d like you to gather as many magic stones as possible within a few days. The price doesn’t matter.”
“Ho!”
After organizing my inventory, I head to the Adventurers' Guild in Bradley City.
“I see, it’s for Fūsuke, isn’t it? Understood. I’ll gather as many magic stones as I can within a few days.”
“Thank you.”
“Still… it’ll be lonely without you. Just to confirm, does this have anything to do with that duel from the other day? If there’s anything I can do to help, just let me know.”
It seems Gildart suspects that I was exiled due to the recent duel between nations.
“No, this has nothing to do with that duel. It’s for a completely personal reason. My homeland is called Japan, and it’s really far from here. But there’s been an issue with my means of travel, making it much harder to come back to this country.”
Since Gildart knows about the other world, I could have told him the truth, but it would likely only confuse him. So I left out the fact that my homeland is in another world.
“…I see. I apologize for prying too much. I hope you return to this country safely.”
“Thank you. But, who knows? Maybe the problem will be resolved quickly, and I’ll be back before you know it.”
“Heh, I’ll be waiting for you anytime!”
That’s right—if inheritance magic allows Ande to inherit the Great Mage’s power, the problem could be solved immediately. So there’s no need for a dramatic farewell.
