The table was stacked with empty bowls and plates.

Since it was a special occasion, I had prepared the new retort series that became available after the level-up of the outdoor shop’s abilities. They tried all the varieties, including beef bowl, oyakodon, Chinese-style rice bowl, and mapo rice bowl.

…Or at least, that was the plan, but in addition to those, the three of them, including Lilia, ate a considerable amount, indulging in desserts like mochi and chilled jelly drinks as well.

I could understand Lilia and Miss Berna, but seeing petite Miss Ferry eat that much was truly impressive…

“I’m glad to see you all satisfied. How were the new products?”

“Oh, they were all very delicious! I especially liked this red, slightly spicy dish. It was quite spicy on its own, but when paired with this soft white thing and white rice, it was a completely new taste for me. It was absolutely delicious!”

“I see. This white thing is called tofu, made from beans from my homeland.”

It seemed Miss Berna liked the mapo rice bowl the most. Now that I think about it, Lange also said it was his favorite among the retort meals. This world doesn’t seem to have spicy seasonings like doubanjiang or other strong spices, so the taste must be quite unique to them.

“I liked this one the best. The meat was so tender, and the sauce was sweet and savory—really tasty!”

“Yes, the beef bowl sauce is really good, isn’t it?”

Miss Ferry seemed to favor the beef bowl the most. The meat in the retort beef bowl wasn’t the highest quality, but that sauce was undeniably delicious. Since I got new seasonings like soy sauce and miso when I visited the royal capital before, maybe I should try making my own version of the sauce next time.

“How about the new mochi and jelly drinks?”

“Oh, they were both delicious! This one was cold, sweet, and jiggly—such a new experience for me!”

“This mochi thing was chewy and tasty too. They had different textures but were both delicious!”

Hmm. It seems they enjoyed both the mochi and the jelly drinks. Well, jelly drinks need to be chilled to taste good, after all.

This time, I introduced two types of mochi: a bar-type and one that becomes soft when mixed with water. It looked like they enjoyed both. Even though they’re both mochi, the different textures make them fun to eat.

“But I still like the yokan and chocolate bars more…”

“Yes, if I had to choose, I’d say I prefer those as well…”

“…I see, that’s good to know. Would you like a little more?”

“Of course!”

“Yes, thank you so much!”

…Even after eating all that, they can still eat more?

Every time, I make sure to give Miss Berna and Miss Ferry some yokan and chocolate bars, but since those are especially high-calorie treats, I limit how many I give them.

Judging by their reaction, they must have finished their stash much sooner than expected.

“Phew… I’m satisfied…”

“Yes, I’m quite full as well…”

“You two really ate a lot.”

…Though, if we’re being honest, Lilia ate just as much as Miss Berna and Miss Ferry.

“I’m glad you liked them. I’ll pack these retort foods into the special preservation packs and give them to you later.”

“Tetsuya, thank you!”

“Thank you so much, Mr. Tetsuya! Oh, right, we also brought some souvenirs for everyone, so please enjoy them together.”

“Thank you very much.”

It seemed Miss Berna and Miss Ferry had brought souvenirs as well.

…Last time, they brought Behemoth meat as a souvenir, which was beyond extravagant. I was a bit nervous about what kind of meat it would be this time.

“This time, it’s Earth Dragon meat. Also, we’ve brought some Red Basilisk meat from the royal capital’s Adventurer Guild Master, which we previously set aside for you.”

“Thank you. Wow, the quantity is incredible this time.”

The meat that Miss Ferry pulled out using her storage magic was too much to fit on a plate. Instead, it spread across the entire table in massive chunks.

Along with that was the Red Basilisk meat, a previous gift from Ruhail, the Adventurer Guild Master in the royal capital.

“E-Earth Dragon meat… Wasn’t it tough to take down?”

“It was fairly strong.”

“Yes, it was quite a challenge.”

Considering that even A-rank adventurers like Miss Berna and Miss Ferry found it difficult, it must have been a truly fearsome monster…

Then again, just hearing the word “dragon” is enough for even someone like me, who doesn’t know much about the monsters of this world, to realize it must be an incredibly dangerous creature.

…Yeah, at this point, I’ve decided not to overthink it. It’s a souvenir, after all, so I’ll just enjoy it.
