Manager Kim Hyeong-jin asked Seo Sora about the situation.

“So, did you check if the Nana on TV is really our Nana? What? Your brother says it’s investigation info and won’t tell you? Ah, got it.”

Kim Hyeong-jin hung up the phone.

Oh Dong-cheol asked eagerly, his face full of anticipation.

“What did she say? What did she say?”

“Sora says she doesn’t know either. But she hasn’t been able to reach Nana at all. My gut tells me that the rescued victim is definitely Nana.”

“The news said the victim was rescued safely.”

“They also said she wasn’t hurt, thanks to the police’s swift response.”

“That’s a relief.”

“And apparently, Sora’s older brother is a detective at that police station.”

“Huh? Wait a minute. Didn’t I just hear the name ‘Detective Seo’ on the news?”

The two looked at each other before Oh Dong-cheol suddenly jumped up from the sofa and rummaged through a cabinet.

“Seo Sora’s family records! Family records! Here it is!”

Kim Hyeong-jin quickly searched the news. What he needed was the name of the detective who caught the suspect. Since this was such a major case, there were articles that mentioned the detective’s name.

Kim Hyeong-jin rapidly read through the article.

“The detective who caught the suspect is… Detective Seo Jung-woo. The detective’s name is Seo Jung-woo!”

Oh Dong-cheol trembled while looking at the family records, then suddenly raised both hands and shouted.

“Uwaaaaah!”

“Is it correct?”

“Seo Sora’s older brother is Seo Jung-woo!”

Kim Hyeong-jin also shot up and screamed along with him.

“Kwaaaaah!”

“Hyeong-jin! The heavens haven’t abandoned us! This is an opportunity!”

“A tragic girl kidnapped by a serial killer! And it turns out she’s a singer with a new song! This alone is amazing promotion!”

“And the detective who caught the suspect and rescued her is actually the older brother of her fellow girl group member!”

“This is a story! No matter how much money we spend, we couldn’t get better publicity than this!”

“Let’s release a digital single right away! We have to strike while the iron is hot!”

“We need to do it before the news dies down. Right away…”

Kim Hyeong-jin suddenly paused.

“But… we don’t have any songs.”

Oh Dong-cheol was overflowing with enthusiasm.

“We’ll buy one! I’ll go and beg a songwriter for one right now, so start contacting the girls!”

ES Entertainment, a company on the verge of collapse, had no active celebrities left—just four remaining trainees.

“All four of them? Do you think Nana is in any condition to sing right now?”

“Without Nana, there’s no point in the promotion!”

“She’s probably still in the hospital.”

“I’ll contact Nana’s parents and go meet her. We have to visit her in the hospital anyway!”

“Then let’s go together!”

After leaving the police station, Seo Jung-woo checked the status of his dimensional teleport skill.

“About three hours of cooldown left? Ah, I really want to stay in this peaceful and abundant world a little longer.”

The cooldown just meant he had to wait three hours before using the skill again—it didn’t mean he had to leave exactly at that time.

“Still, I should go back quickly. Sora’s probably really worried about me.”

For the next two hours, he wandered around town, comparing the differences between this world and the other world. Resources were abundant, and no one seemed to be on high alert. People walked around so carelessly, completely defenseless.

Then he spotted a pharmacy.

“Ah! Medicine!”

He entered the pharmacy. Various medicines were displayed on the shelves.

There were plenty of medicines in the other world too.

Pharmacists in the other world focused heavily on developing combat-related medicine. Especially in the field of wound treatment, there had been remarkable advancements over the past 18 years. By extracting special components from certain monsters and refining them with human science and technology, they created medicines with incredible healing effects.

Of course, those types of wound treatments weren’t limited to just one product. Different companies had their own manufacturing techniques, and the ingredients and concentrations varied, leading to a wide range of effectiveness and prices.

Among these specialized monster-derived healing medicines, there was a rare, highly concentrated red liquid known as a "Red Potion." It had a few different brand names, but most people simply called it that.

‘No matter how good the ointments or disinfectants in this world are, they can’t compare to the miraculous healing power of Red Potions.’

But that wasn’t why he entered the pharmacy. He was looking for something else.

In the other world, most medical research was focused on wound treatment and detoxification. While they made great advances in those areas, research on medicine for actual illnesses was lacking.

Seo Jung-woo reached into his pocket. He had 30,000 won, taken from the wallets of the bank robber and the serial killer. Originally, he had more money, but he had spent a lot on beef, cake, and coffee, leaving him with just 30,000 won.

He spoke to the pharmacist.

“Give me the strongest antibiotic pills you have for 30,000 won. Something developed after the year 2000.”

With the use of monster-based healing medicine, the risk of infection was drastically reduced in the other world. As a result, there hadn’t been much investment in developing antibiotics since 2000.

Meanwhile, this world had poured vast amounts of money into the pharmaceutical industry.

The pharmacist looked a little flustered.

“Do you have a prescription?”

“Huh?”

“You need a doctor’s prescription for that kind of medicine.”

In the other world, you didn’t need a prescription to buy medicine.

“Oh… I can’t just buy it?”

“It’s been years since the medical law changed. Have you never bought medicine before?”

“Ah, well… I’ve been pretty healthy.”

Seo Jung-woo left the pharmacy empty-handed.

“So I need a doctor’s prescription to get medicine here. If I want to get it another way…”

He thought about the methods from the other world.

“Threatening a doctor isn’t really my style, and even if I did, I wouldn’t get much. Raiding a pharmaceutical warehouse… yeah, that’d be a massive crime here.”

Then, an idea came to him.

“If I bought an entire pharmaceutical company, I could smuggle out as much antibiotics as I want. That’s actually a great idea.”

He pulled his hand out of his pocket and looked at the 30,000 won.

“How am I supposed to buy a pharmaceutical company with just 30,000 won?”

After exploring this world for another two hours, Seo Jung-woo returned home.

The teleport skill’s cooldown now had only an hour left.

When he walked inside, Seo Sora was humming a song.

“Oh, you’re back, Oppa?”

Normally, she wouldn’t greet him so cheerfully, but she was in such a good mood that it just came out naturally.

Seo Jung-woo asked,

“What the hell is that trash song?”

Seo Sora’s expression immediately twisted in annoyance.

“Since yesterday, you've been acting strangely, so I thought you were sick. But now you're back to normal. You've returned to being the usual Seo Jung-woo.”

She protested vehemently.

“Calling my debut song trash?!”

“It is trash. You call that a song?”

“Figures. What would a nobody like you know about music?”

Seo Sora waved a piece of paper. The sheet had printed musical notes on it.

“Do you know what this is? The company sent the sheet music via email. We are debuting with this song. They’re releasing it as a digital single right away. So shut your lowly ears and mouth that dare call a masterpiece acknowledged by the company trash!”

“We?”

“Ah!”

Seo Sora put the sheet music down and clapped her hands.

“The victim from the news is our Nana. I need to visit her at the hospital. Once Nana is discharged, we’re releasing the digital single immediately. We’re finally debuting!”

“Debuting with that trash is just asking for fail—”

“Shut that mouth! Don’t ruin things before we even start!”

After Seo Sora left the house, Seo Jung-woo glanced at the sheet music on the table. Even after going through the entire composition, his judgment didn’t change.

“Yep, it’s trash. Debuting with this will be an express ticket to total failure.”

By the standards of the other world, this would definitely flop.

He started preparing to leave. First, he took out ramen, canned tuna, and other food from the cupboard and stuffed them into his bag. He also packed all the instant rice he had. Then, he opened the fridge.

“Side dishes. Side dishes. Delicious side dishes.”

He transferred the sealed containers from the fridge into his bag.

Finally, he took out the most important thing—beef. There was still a kilogram left.

Carefully, he placed it in his bag.

Then, he pulled out a cosmetic item from his pocket.

“Didn’t expect a cosmetics company to sell camouflage cream. I wonder if it’s actually good for the skin.”

He had bought it with the money he earned from catching robbers and murderers.

“This is a gift for our Sora... Oh, wait, there’s a Sora here too. It’s confusing. Even though their personalities are completely different, I keep seeing them overlap...”

Suddenly, another thought struck him.

“Wait. Even if nothing else is the same, their skin types should be, right? That means the cosmetics this Sora uses should be the best fit for our Sora too.”

In the other world, cosmetics were mostly cheap lotions. Even those were expensive, so people often mixed glycerin, water, and ethyl alcohol to make their own. Seo Sora from the other world also mostly used cheap lotion and glycerin.

Seo Jung-woo quietly opened Seo Sora’s room door. Her dressing table was overflowing with cosmetics.

“Wow! She really wants to be an idol. Look at all these cosmetics.”

After making sure the front door was securely closed, he opened his bag.

“Since this Sora uses them, they should be good for our Sora too.”

He swept Seo Sora’s cosmetics into his bag.

“Sorry, Sora. You can just buy new ones. Over there, you can’t get these no matter how much you pay. They don’t even exist.”

To avoid startling her, he left a note on the mirror.

With his bag slung over his shoulder, he stepped out of the room. The sheet music on the table caught his eye.

The weight of his bag made him feel a tinge of guilt.

“Hmm. If I can’t return, just stealing cosmetics and leaving would feel wrong.”

There was no guarantee that when he used teleportation again, he would return to this world. There was always a slight chance he could end up in a completely different world.

Seo Jung-woo took out his phone. It was useless for calls in this world.

“I boasted about this being a high-performance phone that could play MP3s, but here, it’s an antique nobody wants. If a smartphone is a sports car, this is a handcart.”

He pressed a button to open the menu. Several songs appeared. He searched for one.

“There it is. ‘If We Could Meet Again.’”

‘If We Could Meet Again’ was a hit song from the other world a few years ago.

The composer was a hunter named Park Cheol-woo.

Park Cheol-woo’s family had been killed by monsters. From then on, he swore vengeance and took on dangerous missions in countless operations, hunting monsters. Seo Jung-woo had fought alongside him on many battlefields.

“Uncle Cheol-woo, seriously, you need to be more careful. I’ve seen too many people die that way.”

He opened the song’s sheet music. Park Cheol-woo had released this song for free so anyone could sing it. Many artists had done remakes.

Park Cheol-woo had no interest in money or fame, only revenge. Many hunters in that world were like that.

“As long as many people listen to it, that’s enough for him. I should treat him to a meal soon.”

In the other world, culture that could be enjoyed without much money, like music, was highly developed. Many of the songs in his phone came with lyrics and sheet music.

Seo Jung-woo flipped over the sheet music Seo Sora had left. The back of the A4 paper was blank. Using his phone screen as a reference, he began copying the song’s sheet music onto the blank side with a pen. Writing in large characters, he soon ran out of space. He spotted a flyer for a jokbal restaurant. Flipping it over, he found another blank side.

He continued transcribing the sheet music onto the back of the flyer.

After copying down all the lyrics as well, he added a note at the bottom.

— Just a nobody who knows nothing about music scribbled this down.

Chuckling, he flipped the paper back so the original sheet music, which he had deemed trash, was visible on top.

He entered his room and put on the clothes he had hidden in the wardrobe—the ones from the other world. He strapped on his gun and gathered the rest of his equipment.

He stepped into the yard and took one last look around before using his teleportation skill.

In an instant, the scenery changed.

The single-story house disappeared, replaced by a small clearing. The displaced air around him swirled into a tiny vortex.

The clearing was familiar.

“I’m back.”

Suddenly, a Fang Frog leaped out nearby.

It was as big as a large dog, with saw-like fangs. If it bit and twisted its jaw, it could snap off a person’s limbs.

The Fang Frog opened its giant mouth wide and lunged at Seo Jung-woo.

Drawing his gun, he muttered,

“A frog, huh?”
