Update:

Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now, we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:

“Thank you very much!”

Bang

We all saw off the last customer of the day together.

The new waterproof backpacks didn’t sell as explosively as the food-related products. After all, many people already own backpacks, and for novice adventurers, the price isn’t exactly cheap.

I imagine they’ll sell gradually as people replace their backpacks or as word-of-mouth spreads about how useful they are.

“Phew... Great work, everyone. Angel, it looks like this week is going to be busy again, so I’ll be counting on you.”

“Thank you for your hard work, Tetsuya. This shop sure does get a lot of customers.”

“That’s because we started selling a new product today. Also, after a holiday, there tend to be more customers than usual. Plus, Lange isn’t here this week.”

It’s always busier after a holiday. It’s natural since people realize they need things over the two days off.

And this week, Lange isn’t around.

Last week, with the stalker incident, Lange stayed at the shop, but now that Angel has been working here for a week without any problems, he’s returned to his usual duties as an adventurer, pretending to be sourcing supplies for the shop.

“Dolph, your customer service today was great. Keep it up, okay?”

“Got it. Hearing that puts me at ease.”

Dolph’s customer service today was solid. He still seemed a bit distracted by Angel, but he’s much better than he was at the start. He seems to have taken last week’s reprimand to heart.

“With you two here now, the workload has really lightened up.”

“Back when the shop first opened, it was really hectic!”

“Lilia, Fia, I’m sorry for how things were back then! But as you both said, with Dolph and Angel now helping out, things have gotten so much easier. Let’s keep it up from tomorrow onward.”

When we first opened this shop, there weren’t many customers, but with only three of us running the place, it was still tough.

None of us were used to handling customers, so in some ways, it was busier than it is now with many more customers.

Compared to then, the workload per person has definitely decreased. No one can call us a “black company” now.

“Hey, Tetsuya. Thanks as always.”

“Tetsuya, Lilia, thank you for making the trip.”

“Not at all. We appreciate your continued support as well.”

After closing the shop, Lilia and I came to the adventurers' guild. As usual, we’re here to deliver compasses and water purifiers.

Rizac and Patrice had previously offered to come pick up the goods from the outdoor shop, but since the distance isn’t too far, and I also want to observe the adventurers at the guild, I politely declined.

It’s nice to see novice adventurers using the items they bought from us. Some were already using the waterproof backpacks we started selling today.

“By the way, I heard from Berna and Ferry that you agreed to sell them a bulk order of compasses. They reported it to us yesterday morning.”

Apparently, Berna and Ferry had stopped by the guild here to report before departing for the royal capital from Al-Flare yesterday morning.

“Berna and Ferry are well-known A-rank adventurers in the royal capital. They’ve never caused any trouble and are reliable, so I told them where your shop was located. I hope that wasn’t an issue?”

“Not at all. They were both very courteous, and their reason for needing the compasses was legitimate. I sold them 100 units for now.”

Yes, both Berna and Ferry were good people. The two of them, specifically.

“That’s good to hear. It seems the adventurers' guild in the royal capital is also struggling with dungeons, so I think they were very grateful for your compasses. I also heard they knew Lilia, so I figured you’d be willing to help.”

“I was a bit concerned since we couldn’t test them near any dungeons around here. Hopefully, they’ll help with the dungeon near the royal capital, and the guild master there can breathe a little easier.”

It seems Rizac and the others know the guild master in the royal capital. If that’s the case, I doubt we’ll receive any unreasonable requests from them in the future.

“...And now, Rizac, would you care to explain why you told Berna and Ferry the lie that Tetsuya and I are married?”

Suddenly, Lilia had moved behind Rizac without a sound, delivering a cold statement. Yes, this visit to the adventurers' guild wasn’t just for the delivery—it was also to confront Rizac about that matter.
