A window appeared before me with the words Outdoor Shop LV1. Listed there were some camping gear items I recognized from my old world.

"Alright, let’s test this out by buying something. Hmm, the cheapest item seems to be this folding spoon and fork."

The window worked like a touchscreen. There were about 10 types of camping gear displayed, and I tapped the folding spoon, which was listed for 4 copper coins, and pressed the purchase button.

'You don’t have enough funds. Please charge your balance.'

"Whoa!?"

A message popped up on the screen. Well, of course, it needs money since prices are listed. But how do I charge it?

I took out the money I’d earned from selling the spices at the commercial guild. Maybe I need to pass the coins through this window somehow?

Clink.

I tried passing a gold coin through the window, but it just fell to the ground. Looks like that’s not how it works. Maybe I should try focusing on charging it mentally.

Charge... Charge it...

"Oh!"

As I focused on charging while holding the gold coin, the coin disappeared, and the window now showed a balance of 1 gold coin in the lower right corner. I tapped the folding spoon again and pressed the purchase button.

Instantly, out of nowhere, an unwrapped folding spoon appeared and landed on my lap. The balance in the corner had changed to 9 silver coins and 6 copper coins.

So, this really is a power that lets me buy things from my original world! But why an outdoor shop? Is it because I was camping when I arrived here?

Just like with charging the money, I focused on closing the window, and it disappeared smoothly. Then, when I wanted to see it again, I willed it to appear, and there it was. It seems I can summon and dismiss this window at will.

I wanted to experiment with this more, but I didn’t want anyone seeing me pull items out of thin air in such an open area. Besides, the sun was setting, and I needed to find a place to stay for the night.

"Hey there, young man! Looking for a place to stay? Our inn has delicious food!"

"Excuse me, handsome! Our inn has the best drinks, and it’s just 5 silver coins a night with dinner included!"

This place is buzzing. Every innkeeper is trying their hardest to bring in guests.

It seems that inns in this town are divided by price, with this area catering to ordinary adventurers. There are other areas with cheaper or more expensive inns as well.

I had some money now, but staying at a luxury inn felt excessive, and a cheap one would make me worry about security. After all, I’m so weak I couldn’t even beat a goblin. If thieves broke in, I’d be toast. So, staying in a regular inn seemed like the safest option.

In this area, the price of inns didn’t differ much, so most people chose based on the meals or drinks offered. Roya and the others had explained this to me.

Honestly, I didn’t care too much about which inn, but which one should I choose?

"Big brother, if you haven’t picked an inn yet, how about ours? My mom’s cooking is really good!"

A voice suddenly called out from behind me. When I turned around, I saw a young girl looking up at me. She seemed to be around the age of a fifth or sixth grader, with long golden hair tied in twin tails. Many people in this world had blonde or brown hair, unlike my black hair and eyes, which were rare here.

Still, it must be tough for such a young child to work. I guess this world doesn’t have any labor standards laws.

"Um, big brother...?"

"Oh, right. How much is the inn?"

"It’s 5 silver coins, and that includes dinner."

Hmm, the price is about the same as other inns. Well, I guess I’ll stay there. ...Not that I’m choosing it just because she called me "big brother" or because she’s cute! I’m definitely not a lolicon.

"Alright, I’ll stay for one night."

"Thank you so much! Follow me, the inn is this way!"

Her smile was adorable. ...Just to be clear, I’ll say it again—I am not a lolicon.

"Mom, I brought a guest!"

"Oh, thank you, Albera."

The inn was a simple wooden building. The landlady, who was a bit plump but had blonde hair and blue eyes like Albera, smiled kindly. They looked alike, which makes sense since they’re mother and daughter.

"I’d like to stay one night with dinner included."

"That’ll be 5 silver coins. Would you like to have your meal right away?"

I really wanted to experiment more with the outdoor shop, but after everything that happened today, I was starving. Food first, then I’ll test things later.

"Yes, I’d like to eat first, please."

"Understood. We’ll call you when the meal is ready. Albera, could you show our guest to his room?"

"Sure!"

She led me to a room on the second floor. Inside, there was a table, chairs, and a bed. The bed was a bit firm, but the room was surprisingly nice, especially considering the cost—roughly 5,000 yen including meals. Quite a good deal.
