Hey guys,

After somehow calming Katya down, the Marquis of the Frontier turned to us.

"But if that's the case, deciding how to allocate our forces is a real dilemma… It's a waste to station other forces where Ivy is. Bruno, Ivy, do you have any suggestions?"

"Ah, about that…"

"Mee! Mee-mee!"

"...I have no idea what she's saying. Bruno, translate, will you?"

"Mee…"

"Yes—she's suggesting using teleportation magic to travel to the various battlefields."

I translated Ivy's words, which seemed tinged with sadness at not being understood.

When the plan was presented, Ivy proposed a certain type of magic: teleportation magic.

As the name implies, this magic allows one to transport people or objects to a specific location. However, there are two limitations to this magic.

First, it can only teleport to locations that the caster has been to before. Second, the farther the distance and the more people being teleported, the greater the magical energy required.

Even for someone as capable as Ivy, she is still a living being and doesn't possess infinite magical energy.

We will inevitably face hordes of monsters at the destination. Ivy will also need to conserve magical energy for combat, so we have to carefully select the reinforcements she sends. In that sense, having Maria and Hamill join us was a stroke of luck.

The plan devised by me, Ivy, and Andre is as follows:

"First, we, along with Sanshita, will head to the battlefield. After using teleportation magic to return, we'll bring as many people as possible to the battlefield and then deploy forces to various locations."

"I see… That does seem reasonable."

"And we would like your cooperation as well, Marquis."

"Me? How so?"

"We'd like you to provide us with a written guarantee of our status."

We are an exceptional force: Ivy, a powerhouse; Sanshita the griffon and me, a griffon rider; Shannon, a first-rank adventurer; Rey the hero; Icicle, one of the Demon King's Ten Fingers; and Maria, the former saint.

Our impromptu party, with me as the de facto leader, is absurdly strong.

Each of us is a walking natural disaster in our own right.

I had heard from the guild that well-known adventurers often find it difficult to move their base of operations or face cumbersome procedures whenever they enter new territories. For example, even when we move, we are required to notify the Marquis beforehand, and the places we can go are limited to those connected to him.

Adventurers are valuable assets in a territory but also viewed with suspicion due to their uncertain origins. If a group of powerful but mysterious adventurers like us suddenly appears, we would undoubtedly be treated with caution. Authority figures might even view us as a threat.

However, if the Marquis vouched for us, it would be a different story. While he may not be on the best terms with the central royal administration, his strength and competence are recognized by all as a high-ranking noble. Being endorsed by someone of his stature would make it harder for others to treat us poorly.

"Alright, I understand."

While the Marquis prepared the letter and selected knights to guard Katya, we decided to head to the site first.

Once we returned, we would use all our strength to protect everyone from the invading monsters!

"Take care out there~!"

[Let's go, boss!]

Riding on Sanshita's back, we ascended rapidly as Katya and the others waved us off.

When everyone on the ground had shrunk to the size of rice grains, we stopped our ascent and shifted into horizontal flight. Cutting through the sky, we soared effortlessly.

Thanks to the protective barriers, there was no suffocation or risk of being blown away by the wind. With no monsters daring to challenge a griffon in flight, our journey through the skies was safe and secure.

"Mee!"

Ivy was as energetic as ever. Stroking her head, I glared at the horizon, where the horde of monsters likely awaited us.

All we want is to enjoy peaceful, lazy days filled with naps. Yet, just like during the invasion from the Dark Forest, these monsters never consider our circumstances. They attack indiscriminately, trampling over everything in their path.

"It's frustrating, isn't it?"

"Mee!"

Nodding in agreement, Ivy puffed out her cheeks in a display of indignation. Unlike the past, when I relied entirely on her, I can now fight alongside her. I won't let her shoulder all the burden anymore.

And we're not alone—our allies are with us. Ivy is no longer the outcast she once was in the village.

"Mee!"

[W-Wait, Boss Ivy! Any more acceleration than this and... Aaaaaargh!?]

With an excited clap of her hands, Ivy activated a magic circle that glowed brilliantly.

Gravity magic was unleashed, and the strain on their bodies intensified with a sharp pull. The already swift movement of Sanshita accelerated even further, pushing the speed to an extreme level.

[“Hiiiiiiiinn!!”]

Sanshita, unable to control their own inertia, shot through the sky at an unbelievable velocity.

No, this wasn’t just running through the air—it had gone well beyond that.

Like a bullet, Sanshita was now hurtling sideways at ultra-high speeds. Ivy manipulated gravity as if steering Sanshita, her focus sharp. Of course, various support spells, including barriers, were already in place to prevent any major physical harm.

[Eeeeek! Moooom!]

Despite the precautions, Ivy was relentless. Her Spartan approach meant she wasn’t casting a single spell to directly assist Sanshita.

Eventually, Sanshita’s tears began to flow as their emotional resilience crumbled.

Looking closer, their drool was scattering wildly too. It was a bit unsightly, honestly. Without the barrier, I’m sure I would’ve been caught in the spray.

At such incredible speeds, even tears and drool vanished in an instant, disintegrating into nothing.

They’d looked so cool a moment ago… A true ruler of the skies. And now...

(Come to think of it, I wonder if Sanshita’s mom is a griffin too? As a half-bird, half-lion creature, could it be that the mom’s a bird and the dad’s a lion? That would be kind of funny.)

As I entertained these meaningless, idle thoughts, the scenery blurred past us. Before long—within just a few hours—the port town that was our destination came into view.
