Update:

Hey guys,
As most of you probably know by now Disqus has stopped providing services to many sites and our site is one of them. Right now, we are in the middle of developing our independent comment system. As of today(26 March 2025), we are releasing the comment with Limited features. There are other features still under development and may take some time to roll out.

As always, please continue to support us. You can show your support in the following ways:

"Still, the various tools that Tetsuya provides are truly convenient."

"This lantern is so bright and useful. It’s amazing how it shines without magic or fire!"

"This works using a power called electricity. But from the perspective of my homeland, magic seems more amazing..."

After the barbecue, the sun had completely set, and it was now pitch dark. I had hung up a lantern I purchased through my outdoor shop ability on a stand and was tidying up.

Like handheld flashlights, these lanterns weren’t available for sale due to their mechanism and battery issues.

I understood why the people of this world were curious about lights and such, but to me, magic was the bigger mystery. Especially summoning magic and storage magic—how do they even work?

"You can produce so many convenient tools and delicious food. If you go to the royal capital, they’d pay a high price for all of it. Plus, you’d receive the protection of the royal family."

"Hmm… But that would mean I’d lose most of my freedom, right? Of course, I value safety, but I want to live freely, and above all, I don’t want to get dragged into trouble."

As Lange said, in terms of safety, it might be a good idea to reveal my abilities to the royals and come under their protection. From what I've heard, the royal family in this country isn’t particularly terrible.

However, that would mean losing my freedom, and worse, there’s a high possibility I’d be used in wars against other nations. Not only my flashlight but many of my camping gear items could be useful in combat situations.

Even the preserved food I currently use for adventurers could easily be repurposed for military rations.

"Ah, yeah, that makes sense. I also try to stay free from the adventurer’s guild restrictions, so I get how you feel."

"Besides, I owe a lot to the rookie adventurers in that town. I’d rather pay back those favors and run my business there at a relaxed pace. And since I have people like you and Rizac from the adventurer’s guild supporting me, I feel safe doing business in that town. I don’t plan on leaving Al-Flare anytime soon."

Honestly, living in luxury in the royal capital doesn’t appeal to me. I’d rather stay in Al-Flare, the town known as the starting point for adventurers, and run a business that helps beginners.

"Tetsuya, that is a wonderful way of thinking! So that’s why you sell such useful tools at such a low price in that town!"

"Tetsuya is a good person!"

"Thank you."

It doesn’t feel bad to be praised by two A-rank adventurers. Though, to be honest, my biggest reason is just wanting to live peacefully.

"Oh, so this is the tent used in Tetsuya’s homeland."

"It folds up small, is easy to set up, is waterproof, and sturdy. It’s really convenient!"

With dinner cleaned up, it was time to sleep. In this world, nights end early, and people go to bed soon after eating. In exchange, mornings start early, and we plan to begin moving as soon as the sun rises.

"It would have been better if I had a slightly bigger tent, though. There are also large dome-shaped tents available."

This is a two-to-three-person tent. Without much luggage inside, it feels spacious, but fitting three full-grown adults in a two-to-three-person tent is quite cramped. Right now, this is the only tent I can purchase with my outdoor shop ability.

Maybe if my level goes up, I’ll be able to buy a large family-sized tent.

"The lanterns and tents that Tetsuya provided are amazing, but Ferry’s summoning magic was impressive too."

"Yeah… I didn’t expect she could summon creatures other than Sleipnir…"

"So being able to summon multiple creatures is that impressive…"

For the night watch, Ferry summoned a Silver Wolf, a wolf-type magical beast with a beautiful silver coat. It has excellent night vision and a keen sense of smell, making it perfect for keeping watch at night.

Our campsite is divided across the river: one tent for me, Lilia, Fia, and Angel, another for Berna and Ferry, and Ferry’s summoned Silver Wolf standing guard.

Even if something happens, Berna and Lange would wake up immediately. Despite camping outdoors, I feel surprisingly safe. Top-tier adventurers really are amazing. I can’t believe Lange travels alone in this dangerous world.

I enjoy solo traveling and solo camping, but I wouldn’t dare attempt it in this world.

"Normally, camping out is much tougher than this. I feel like my sense of difficulty is getting skewed thanks to Tetsuya’s tools and Ferry’s magic."

"Yeah, making fire was easy, we could carry all our supplies using storage magic, and we didn’t have to worry about keeping watch. It’s really comfortable. But honestly, Lange, even just having storage magic and water magic makes things a lot easier for you."

"That’s true."

As they said, a normal camp setup wouldn’t be this easy. I should be grateful to Ferry and Lange.
