Cooling Towels and Low Tables

Message:

Hello guys,
First of all, we would like to apologize for disappearing without notice. Some problem suddenly came up with the hosting service we were using so we had to migrate our website. It took some time but we are finally up and running again. We will try to make sure that this does not happen again.

Additionally, this sudden migration has put a strain on our finances, so we need your support more than ever. As for how you can support us, we have listed that below:

Once again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope that you will continue to support us.

“Alright, next up is this item!”

Putting the water purifier sales on hold for now, I began explaining the next product. For those who missed the earlier demonstration, I posted a written explanation about the purifier on the stall.

Fia held up the next product to show the customers.

“A towel?”

“…Just a regular towel, right?”

“This towel is anything but ordinary! Behold the cooling towel, a magical towel that feels refreshingly cool with just a splash of water!”

“Whoa!”

“It’s super easy to use. Just wet it, wring it out lightly, or give it a quick shake—that’s it! And it becomes delightfully cool to the touch!”

The cooling towel, also known as a cold-sensation towel, is made with a special material that uses evaporative cooling to provide long-lasting chilliness. Perfect for adventurers who spend long hours under the sun, wrapping this towel around their necks can help prevent heatstroke.

“First, try touching it as is. You’ll notice it already feels nice and soft. But here’s where the magic happens. Let’s pour some water on it, wring it lightly, and voilà! The texture instantly feels cool. Please, give it a try!”

The customers touched the towel to feel its texture first. Then Fia and I demonstrated its cooling effect, letting everyone experience it for themselves.

“Wow, this really does feel cool!”

“This is so neat! How does it work?”

“With this, trekking through the forest while drenched in sweat would be a bit more bearable!”

The response to the cooling towel was quite positive.

In the local market, towels were available for cheap—5 to 8 copper coins for used ones—but the quality was subpar. I sourced these cooling towels from the outdoor shop at 1 silver coin each, selling them for 2 silver coins.

Positioning them as high-quality towels, I intended to differentiate them from others. Although a bit pricey for a towel, their heatstroke prevention benefits and excellent texture made them worth the cost. I chose a neutral gray color, avoiding overly flashy designs.

“And now, for the final item!”

Just like the water purifier, I put off the cooling towel sales temporarily and moved on to the last product. I also posted an explanation for the cooling towel, inviting anyone curious about its texture or cooling effect to speak with us.

“At first glance, this may look like just a stack of metal plates. However, when assembled, it transforms into a small foldable table!”

“Whoa!”

What I presented was a compact stack of five metal plates. When assembled and with the legs extended, it quickly transformed into a low table.

This foldable table stood 15 cm tall and measured 30–40 cm in length and width. Made of lightweight metal, it was incredibly portable. I personally carried two of these for camping, using them to hold a burner for cooking, dishes, or small items like books. Its versatility made it a valuable item.

“Hey, can I take a closer look?”

“Of course. Just be careful not to apply too much force—it could damage it.”

“Got it… Ah, I see. So, the plates are secured like this from the underside. Pretty clever design. It’s lighter than I expected, so it seems easy to carry.”

The young man, who seemed like a middle or high schooler but was likely an adventurer judging by his gear, deftly assembled the table despite seeing it for the first time.

He had nimble hands—impressive, considering it took me some time to figure it out when I first tried. While the assembly was simple, the small parts might be tricky for people with larger hands.

“This is pretty convenient.”

“And a metal table? That’s stylish for its size!”

The foldable table was purchased at the outdoor shop for 3 silver coins, and I sold it for 5 silver coins. It might be a bit expensive, but metal products in this town’s market were already pricey. I hoped adventurers with a bit of extra money would see its value.

“That concludes the explanations for our new products. Of course, we still carry the compass and carabiner, along with other essential items for beginner adventurers. Please make use of our exclusive outdoor shop!”

“P-please, thank you for your support!”

“I’ll take one purifier and one cooling towel.”

“I’ll grab a purifier.”

“I’d like one of each—the purifier, the cooling towel, and the foldable table.”

Alright, looks like we’re off to a strong start!
