“Alright, follow me, you bastards!”

Robin Hood took the lead, shouting at the archers.

The other archers, irritated, grumbled amongst themselves.

“Why the hell is that guy acting so cocky?”

“Annoying as hell.”

“Looks like the Contractor ordered him to command us.”

“Damn, I’m jealous.”

“I need to make a name for myself quickly and catch the Contractor’s attention.”

Twenty archers followed behind Robin Hood, heading toward the central area of the second battlefield, Blue Rain.

“Reinforcements have arrived!”

“Does this mean we can finally fight?”

The knights, who had been retreating under the relentless assault of the monsters, cheered.

But at that moment, Lee Shin’s command rang out to everyone.

‘Keep retreating.’

The knights’ faces twisted in frustration, but they quickly turned and resumed their retreat.

“Idiots. Can’t they see these crappy bows we’re holding? The weapon upgrades aren’t finished yet.”

Robin Hood muttered as he continued retreating alongside the archers.

As the retreat continued, the tidal wave of monsters steadily advanced, destroying the forward-positioned catapults one by one.

Catapults had the major drawback of requiring engineers to manually dismantle and reassemble them, making movement extremely difficult.

Because of this, their strengths and weaknesses were starkly exposed when facing an enemy that relied on sheer numbers and speed.

Once the catapults, which had been deployed at the front, were removed, the monsters surged forward with renewed momentum.

Casanova continued to summon additional monsters, intensifying the assault.

However, the monsters' counterattack only reached the central region.

By the time they had retreated that far, the archers' bows had been upgraded to crossbows!

A canyon with a narrowing path. Hills on all sides, where catapults were stationed. A terrain highly favorable for humans to defend against the monsters’ overwhelming numbers.

“Ohh! This is amazing!”

Robin Hood couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.

It dawned on him that the Contractor had precisely timed the weapon upgrade to be completed just as they reached the central area.

The battle intensified.

Boom! Boom!

The catapults launched boulders, striking the advancing monsters.

The Hellhounds, cheap and fast, led the charge to break through.

The moment the boulders fell, the Hellhounds displayed remarkable agility, scattering in all directions to avoid them.

The natural enemy of catapults: Hellhounds.

They were inexpensive to summon in large numbers and so fast that they were highly effective against the slow-moving catapults.

But that was only true when the catapults had no supporting troops.

“Now’s the time!”

“Charge!”

At Lee Shin’s command, the knights charged forward on horseback, cutting down the Hellhounds.

Having broken formation while dodging the catapult fire, the Hellhounds were unable to withstand the knights' assault.

As warriors summoned at great cost in mana and minerals, the knights demonstrated their overwhelming strength, slaughtering the Hellhounds.

Any Hellhounds that managed to slip through the knights’ ranks were swiftly taken down by the crossbowmen’s volleys.

While the Hellhounds were being sacrificed at the front, the Poison Spore Flowers advanced and unleashed a barrage of poisonous spores.

The spores spread in all directions, blanketing the area in a thick, mist-like poison.

If this battle had taken place on open plains, the humans would have been completely engulfed by the poisonous fog and wiped out.

However, the terrain overwhelmingly favored the humans.

BOOM! CRASH!

“Kreeeek!”

“Kieeeek!”

Just as the Poison Spore Flowers were about to unleash their power, the catapults responded by launching boulders.

The knights fighting at the front also withdrew to avoid the poisonous mist.

It was an exceptionally well-coordinated battle, with each unit covering the strengths and weaknesses of the others.

And then…

‘It’s about time to end this.’

Lee Shin now felt completely at ease.

At first glance, it seemed like Casanova was fiercely counterattacking.

But from Lee Shin’s perspective, Casanova’s situation was almost pitiful.

He was throwing his dwindling mana into summoning troops, only to waste them.

‘Choosing monsters for this battlefield in the first place was a foolish decision.’

The second battlefield, Blue Rain, had a complex terrain, with winding, twisting paths.

It was great for setting up ambush strategies by hiding buildings and troops, but from a broader perspective, it was an ideal landscape for humans to establish defensive lines.

‘His thinking is shallow. This is his limit.’

Lee Shin had seen through Casanova’s tendencies from the start.

A superficial strategist with no depth.

Monsters should have used their overwhelming numbers to dominate humans on an open plain.

But Casanova didn’t choose that direct approach. In trying to gain small advantages, he lost sight of the bigger picture.

Even if Lee Shin simply dragged things out, victory was inevitable.

But he decided to take a more aggressive approach and crush his opponent completely.

[A mage has been summoned from the Magic Tower.]

Three mages were summoned.

Lee Shin gave a small nod.

“Go.”

“Yes!”

The three mages advanced toward the battlefield.

The central region was now locked in an intense struggle.

The monsters couldn’t break through the well-formed defense line, where the catapults and crossbowmen were supporting the knights in turn.

But at the same time, the humans couldn’t counterattack. They were stuck holding the line.

The first reason was that moving the catapults was difficult. Engineers had to dismantle, transport, and reassemble them, which was too much of a hassle.

The second reason was the sheer number of Ents.

Ents were sturdy and could extend their branches to attack multiple enemies at once. A formidable monster.

The Ents couldn’t approach the catapults’ range, but neither could the knights or crossbowmen recklessly engage them.

As a result, Poison Spore Flowers and Hellhounds kept attacking and retreating whenever they reached the Ents' territory.

Casanova seemed to believe Ents were the key, as he was evolving Poison Spore Flowers into Ents whenever possible.

His plan appeared to be forming a defensive line with Ents to buy time while constructing mana stone harvesting facilities for a prolonged war.

But the arrival of the mages shattered the balance in the deadlocked battlefield.

“Fire Storm!”

“Fire Storm!”

Whoooosh!

“KIEEEEK…!”

“GRAAAAHH!”

Lee Shin delivered the final blow to Casanova’s hopes.

The Ents, for all their durability, had one fatal weakness—fire-wielding mages.

With successive Fire Storms, the Ents’ defensive line crumbled.

‘Go.’

Lee Shin’s final command.

The knights launched a full-on charge. Robin Hood’s crossbowmen followed close behind.

The mages continued casting Fire Storm whenever their energy recharged, clearing the way.

The human forces surged like a tidal wave toward Casanova’s 1 o’clock main base!

By now, the outcome was obvious to anyone.

Even so, Lee Shin continued summoning reinforcements and meticulously conducting the battle. He showed no signs of carelessness, even at the end.

The second battlefield, Blue Rain, was instantly flooded with Lee Shin’s forces.
