Jackson had been working at Queen Club for six years and was a veteran waiter.
From a distance, he instantly recognized the Ferrari.
Screeech—!
Seeing the car owner drive a 400-million-won car like a piece of junk, he was shocked. It seemed like he was driving a luxury car even rougher than when he used to drive his old Matiz.
“Catch the key—!”
He didn’t care whether it was a guard or a valet—he just threw the key. That deep-rooted air of superiority confirmed it for Jackson.
‘Jackpot!’
The car owner naturally walked up the queue with his companions. It was so natural that it seemed as if the waiting line had parted for him like the Red Sea.
The guards exchanged glances but did not stop him. Instead, they gestured to guide him inside.
Jackson instinctively rushed forward.
“Good evening! I’m Jackson—”
As expected, the car owner immediately recognized Jackson, slung an arm over his shoulder, and pulled him inside.
‘W-what is this strength…?’
“I heard this place has good girls?”
“Cleaner and more refined than Jeju’s purest water! And plenty of open-minded ladies!”
“Good. Let’s see how good you are tonight.”
Shin Haesu tucked a check into Jackson’s vest pocket. In that brief moment, Jackson sneaked a glance at the amount. Not a hundred thousand won. There was an extra zero.
“Jackson will risk his life to serve you tonight!”
“Don’t be dramatic.”
“Yes, sir!”
The second floor, a room with a full-glass wall offering the best view of the stage.
Wearing a red suit, Haesu sprawled on the sofa, his arms draped arrogantly over the backrest, with women on either side of him.
“Oppa, are you friends with him?”
“I don’t have friends. He’s my bodyguard.”
“No way! You totally seem like a social butterfly!”
“I only see cheap trash.”
“Ah…”
The youngest, sitting awkwardly, shrank inward.
“Oppa, is this your first time at a club? Why are you so shy?”
“Look at his red face! Ah, so cute! Like a teddy bear!”
“P-please don’t touch me…”
“Then why are your hands staying still~?”
- The youngest is having the time of his life! Should we tell his girlfriend?
- Lucky bastard. I’m so jealous.
- Hyung, stop calling people ‘bastard.’
Just as the atmosphere was heating up—
Bang!
Haesu lifted his foot off the table slightly before slamming his heel down onto it. The women flinched in surprise, and the room fell silent.
“Tch…”
With a frown, he pulled something out of his coat.
Rustle—
White paper fluttered through the air. A check issued by Daehan Bank.
“Kyaaah~”
The women squealed like dolphins and scrambled to grab the checks. Some hesitated, crossing their legs and glancing around before finally reaching down.
“Let’s go. This is boring.”
“Yes, boss.”
While the women were busy gathering checks, Haesu stood up. The youngest instinctively followed him out of the room.
Seeing this, Jackson panicked and clung to Haesu.
“H-Hyungnim, what’s wrong?”
“Jackson, is this your best?”
“I’m sorry! I’ll bring much hotter girls next time—”
“Forget it. I’ve lost interest.”
“If you just give me one more chance—”
Haesu didn’t even glance back as he exited the club. Jackson watched his retreating figure in disappointment.
- That was way too natural.
- This feels suspicious. Is this his real personality?
- I never thought I’d feel the same way as Hyungnim.
The next day, Haesu and the youngest entered Queen Club again. Jackson ran out, bowing at a ninety-degree angle.
“Hyungnim! I was so remorseful about last time—”
“Screw up again, and you’re dead.”
Another check. This time, two.
Jackson’s eyes widened.
“I’ll give my life for you!”
The same VIP room. Less than an hour later—
Rustle—!
Just like déjà vu, the same scene unfolded. White checks fluttered inside the room.
“Kyaaa!”
Haesu and the youngest exited the room together. Seeing their furious expressions, Jackson broke into a cold sweat and hurried over.
“Jackson, is this your best?”
“I… I brought the absolute top-tier girls—”
“Shh. No excuses.”
Haesu walked out. And came back again the next day. This time, in a different car.
Jackson, now treating it like a daily attendance sheet, received three checks. The increasing amount didn’t feel entirely pleasant. The more money involved, the heavier the burden on his conscience.
Desperate, Jackson brought in truly A-list women. But—
Rustle—!
The same ending.
“Jackson, is this your best?”
“Hyungnim, I swear, out of everyone here today—”
“Shh. No excuses.”
Haesu left, only to return again the next day. And the day after that. By the seventh day—
Jackson received only one check.
‘Did it decrease? Well…’
He checked the amount. There was an extra zero.
‘Damn, this guy… I can’t handle him.’
Getting greedy could break him. Finally, he reported to the manager.
“You mean the guy who’s basically rented out the VIP room for a week?”
“…Yes. He’s probably spent hundreds of millions by now.”
“I know. He was never someone you could handle. Get out.”
“Yes.”
‘Kangsan Distribution’s reckless heir, Lee Taesoo…’
The manager had already gathered intel on Haesu’s fake identity through the women.
Kangsan Distribution was a subcontractor of Daeseong Group, and thanks to Ahn Seo-eun’s help, his false identity had been perfectly set up.
That day, just as Haesu was leaving again after less than an hour, scattering money, the manager approached.
“Sir, was there something unsatisfactory?”
“Who are you? Where’s Jackson?”
“I’m Manager Jung Seok-seung. If you’re interested… I can guide you to a much better place.”
- It’s happening!
- Finally?
“A better place? You should’ve said so earlier.”
“Apologies. It’s a very exclusive venue…”
“Apologizing and brushing it off? So you’ve been treating me like some idiot this whole time? Bring Jackson here.”
“N-no, that’s not it! Regarding the money you’ve spent so far, we can—”
Bam!
“Ack!”
Haesu shoved the manager's chest, slamming him hard against the wall. The manager, taken aback by the unexpectedly rough action, broke into a cold sweat.
At the small commotion, the guards came up, but they were blocked by the youngest. The manager also raised his hand to signal the guards to back off.
“You think I’m doing this over a bit of money? You’re telling me this club actually had the audacity to test me?”
“I-I’m sorry. I don’t even know what to say…”
Just then, Jackson, seeing the scene, rushed up and threw himself flat on the floor.
“Sir! I have committed an unforgivable sin! This is all my fault.”
“Right, our Jackson wasn’t doing his best. It’s your fault.”
At the chilling tone, Jackson felt a shiver down his spine. Then, a heavy weight pressed down on his back.
“Guh—”
As Haesu stepped on Jackson and walked past him, he spoke.
“Since I’ve got a heart as vast as the ocean, I’ll let it slide this time. Hey, lead the way.”
“Yes! Understood!”
The manager, who had started off so haughty, quickly scurried ahead to guide him.
—H-Haesu, what’s up? This is scary.
—Looks like he’s pissed because he spent too much money.
Keeping a slight distance from the manager, Haesu tapped his button and whispered.
“Building up my lunatic act.”
—Ah, so you’re planning to act even crazier?
Just before getting into the elevator, the manager cautiously spoke.
“Um… I sincerely apologize, but your bodyguard cannot accompany you.”
“Doesn’t matter. Cheol, you can go.”
“Yes, sir.”
The youngest stepped back, and Haesu boarded the elevator alone with the manager.
When the elevator stopped at the second basement floor, a car was already waiting directly in front. It was parked so tightly that there was no way to escape in another direction.
—Uh, isn’t it a bit dangerous for him to be alone?
—Dangerous? For who?
—What?
—Oh, come on. You know what I mean. The youngest is the brakes, not the accelerator.
At Oh Gaeng’s comment, Haesu smirked and got into the car.
Just as Kim Sangtae had described, the front was blocked, and the tinted windows on both sides were double-layered.
“They’re really going all out, huh.”
“I apologize. As I mentioned, it’s a highly exclusive place.”
“If it’s not worth it, I’m leaving.”
“I guarantee your satisfaction.”
The car drove for quite a while, running for over an hour before finally stopping. There was an upward sensation—they had entered a car elevator.
Clunk.
The manager opened the door with a polite smile.
“We have arrived.”
—Okay, we’ve got the location.
—Haesu, can you hear us?
As he followed the manager, Haesu lightly tapped the upper button of his shirt, where his mic was.
Tap, tap.
—No signal interference detected.
As soon as he got out of the car, a wide corridor stretched before him. A red carpet ran along the floor, and both sides were lined with glass walls.
On the right was a wine, whiskey, and beer storage area with a classic interior, while on the left was a kitchen where he could see chefs at work.
Haesu subtly turned his body to capture the interior with his camera.
“This way.”
Descending the central staircase, long hallways extended on both sides, with dozens of rooms lined up. Each room had a numbered plaque, and the place was eerily quiet.
Only occasional thumping sounds hinted at occupancy. No voices could be heard, indicating soundproofing was excellent.
“This is the room.”
“Pretty far in.”
Inside, fruit and alcohol were already set up.
“If you’d like a specific drink, please let us know.”
“This will do.”
“Understood. Please wait here. When you wish to leave, just press this bell.”
The room resembled a hotel suite. One side had a bar for drinking, the opposite side had a sofa and table, and the bathroom was adorned with marble and gold trimmings. The bed was king-sized.
The unique aspect was that all windows were sealed, completely isolating it from the outside world.
Knock, knock.
Not even five minutes had passed when there was a knock. Soon after, a line of women entered—seven in total. Even Haesu, who had little interest in women, slightly widened his eyes.
—Wow…
—It’s like they gathered every beautiful woman in Korea here.
They looked like celebrities.
“Good evening. I am Yuri, an announcer from KAS.”
“I am Seohui, secretary at Sansam Trading.”
“I’m Jiyeon, a flight attendant at Ashibara Airlines.”
“Hello~ I’m Seungmi, the youngest from Red Moon.”
“I’m Miso, a nurse at Pokyung Hospital.”
Each had a specific role—announcer, secretary, flight attendant, idol, nurse—all fantasies designed to appeal to men.
Their makeup and outfits matched their roles. The skirts weren’t overly short, nor were the tops excessively revealing. It looked as if they had come directly in their actual uniforms.
After the introductions, Haesu let out a small chuckle.
“This place is interesting.”
“Are you pleased?”
“Now I see why you were so confident.”
“I’m glad to hear that.”
Haesu scanned the women. Just as they say that by the time you’re thirty, your face reflects your life, even for those in their twenties, their personalities were visible in their expressions.
He picked the one who seemed the most empty-headed.
“You. The rest, leave.”
“Thank you for choosing Jiyeon.”
The woman in the flight attendant uniform smiled with her eyes and stepped forward.
The manager gave a slight nod and disappeared with the rest.
Haesu sat at the bar with Jiyeon, drinking wine. She leaned in close, subtly caressing his arm.
“Sir, you must work out a lot. You’re incredibly firm…”
Her soft fingers slowly moved lower. Just as her warmth reached a sensitive area, Haesu suddenly grabbed her wrist.
“Oh!”
He silently stared at her before letting go. The grip had been so tight that red marks appeared on her delicate wrist.
“Don’t do anything unnecessary. Just pour the drink.”
“Ah… Okay.”
As she raised the glass, Haesu’s eyes glistened with sorrow. Sensing there was a deeper, unspoken story, Jiyeon gazed at him with sympathy.
—Ah! The tragic scoundrel act!
—A scoundrel because he’s impotent! Shin Haesu, unexpected defeat!
